O’Grady Today
Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 2nd, 2009
This is just a reminder that I’ll be talking about cryptozoology on The Paul O’Grady Show, today, Monday, March 2, 2009. LIVE at five!
The London program is on Olga TV, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, local time (17:00-18:00 GMT).
Is there a reason that while in London, this Fortean Times famed “All The Unusual Suspects” drawing is bouncing around in my head?
The topics will be cryptozoology in general, the Dover Demon, Bigfoot, Scotland’s Loch Ness Monsters, and ABCs (the UK’s Alien Big Cats), during my five minute appearance.
Sure are a lot of phallic symbols around here….
About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
Just watched you on this show Loren, an interesting talk, shame it wasn’t longer. Enjoy London.
P.S. I think i have dated some of ” The unusual Suspects ” ; )
You can watch it here if you missed it:
Loren came across very well.
Saw the show last night Loren. When I heard what show you were appearing on, I thought maybe the producers would want to make a big joke out of cryptozoology. But I have to say I thought the interview came over very well. And Paul O’Grady himself seemed genuinely interested, and turns out had his own Big Cat sighting. Just a shame it wasn’t a bit longer. It’s interesting that in the space a week, there have been two interviews which have mentioned the Yeti on British TV. Your own interview and the David Attenborough interview which you documented earlier in the week. It all helps to raise awareness of cryptozoology generally, and also for the evidence that exists for some cryptids.
Sorry, meant to say in last post, that the whole show can be viewed from the Channel 4 website.
Loren’s interview comes in at 22 min 30 secs.
Nice one Loren, just a shame you wasn’t on longer.
I see the program “catch-up” says “You need to be within the UK or the Republic of Ireland to watch Channel 4 programmes.”
Is anyone able to place the 4 minute cryptozoology segment on YouTube?
