Bigfoot Conferences VI

(Blur – Caramel)
Getting back to the TBRC 2005 conference now I see that fewer and fewer scientists have been attending since 1978. We now get more and more people who have carried the torch of interest, either as a collector of reports or that have actually done field research. Well maybe an author or two gets thrown in as well. I find this conference supports this description.
Many people who attended the two-day event (I think Craig told me that for both days the count totaled around 500 people) were property owners, travelers, adventurers or those just generally interested in the subject. Of course there were probably 20-25 media types there too.
Some attendees have had their own unexplainable events, like seeing, hearing an unknown animal or finding unusual tracks. Some brought pictures showing what they found. Others had nothing but their word. I always wondered why so many come to these events… Validation? Information seeking? Friendship? Something that makes people interested in TV shows like the X files and other CSI types? I am happy to see it though.
I was approached by one individual who said they had found a picture of some type of animal apparently taken in Oregon a while back and wanted to show it to me to see if I had seen it before or knew anything about it. He thought it was interesting and had found no other reference to it. I don’t know if I was the first person he showed it to but I pointed in the direction of Dr. Jeff Meldrum. Jeff had never seen it before… didn’t even guess as to it’s origin.
Guess what though. I recognized it immediately. At first, during his explanation of the context, I thought he was speaking of the “Elaine picture” (next blog). But it turned out to be yet another still frame image from the White film. That sealed it; I had to write something about it now. I am not saying it was some type of cosmic sign but it was significant to me.

So… did the film end up in Texas? Who would of taken it there? Who was interested in Bigfoot back then? I guess all I had to do was look at the list of speaker’s from that time maybe and sure enough… a Texan speaker was there. I asked Craig about it and he immediately brought up the same name I was coming up with, though he had never heard of the film or seen the image before.
Why would the film end up in Texas? Was there really something to the film that a scientist who sounded kind of skeptical during a major conference on the subject found interesting enough to hold on to or obtain a copy of? We may never know… he past away recently.
Amazing things can be done with this media now. I have a setup that I used in digitizing each individual frame from the P/G film. The same could be done with the White film if I can get a hold of it.
The search for this film continues… a bird in hand –
About Rick Noll
Rick Noll has been actively searching for the Sasquatch since 1969 and continues his pursuit with extended field trips into the Pacific Northwest's most remote regions. Rick has worked with Peter Byrne, Renรฉ Dahinden, Grover Krantz, John Green, Jeff Meldrum and the BFRO during all this. He helped with many documentaries on the subject including Animal X: The Skookum Expedition and Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science.
Awesome Story ๐ Sounds like your hot on the trail of this film – I hope you find it. What did Dr.Meldrum have to say about the picture? Will you ever show the picture?
wow – life can be filled with mysteries, hope you enjoy a good one ๐ LMAO.
Jeff had never seen the picture before. It was also shown to Loren and maybe a couple of other people at the Texas conference.
Like I implied in this blog series… it is like the film got black-balled somehow. Not unheard of really. There are a few more things like this that give me pause when confronted with the newest – like the Manitoba video and now the one with BFRO involvement – The Kentucky video (ORV). At least this video has something to see and is not what has been coined a Blobsquatch.
PS
I wonder if there are Bolbserpent pictures? Loren might want to think about this.
