Bigfoot and UFOs

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on July 5th, 2006

While in San Antonio last month, Willie Mendez shared this cartoon with me. It was given to him by a friend who had seen it in the New Orleans publication Where Y’at. I thought that since the artist, Caesar Meadows was kind enough to share it with me, I would share it with you, the readers of Cryptomundo.

LOL! Three of my favorite things, Bigfoot, UFOs and comix in one funny combination! Thanks, Loren. But like all truly funny things, there is that kernel of truth in it. In this case it’s the all-too-familiar antagonism between various research factions. And Caesar Meadows is right, that sort of nit-picking on one another really is even more absurd than the idea of bigfoot and aliens going hand-in-limblike appendage. This comic should be food for many “probing” discussions! 🙂

You know, much as it makes the “serious researchers” cringe, I still have a soft-spot for the high strangeness accounts, including the ones that make BF the overgrown lap-dogs of diminuitive greys.

I think it is just the sociologist in me. It just says so many things to me about the people repeating the stories and the cultural need as a whole to experience something “bigger” than oneself.

  3. badkitty responds:

I have a vision of a BF tied by rope to a UFO being dunked up and down in front of a group of BF Hunters, just like a giant T-bag! (Do you have T-bags over there guys?)

  4. Jeremy_Wells responds:

Yes, we barbarians drink tea too 😉
(I prefer loose tea in a tea ball personally, get that nice layer of oil on the top of your drink that makes it all strong and tasty.)

    Funny Indeed!

  6. Psyphon responds:

A couple of years back, while listening to Art Bell’s show, someone called in and made the claim that wherever there have been UFO sightings, there have also been Bigfoot/Sasquatch sightings reported within the same time frame.

I don’t believe I have ever seen, or read any credible information to link the two phenomena.

I would have to agree that one should avoid booking a Bigfoot Conference at the same time and place as a UFO Convention… and vice versa. What a blunder!

  7. PeterOtoole responds:

Anyone interested in bigfoot, ufos, giant wolves, 8 foot tall guys in weird observation vehicles, poltergeist activity, trickster activity and so much more, all happening in one place, should read Hunt for the Skinwalker by Colm Kelleher and George Knapp. It’s about Skinwalker Ranch.
