Update: Killer Sasquatches On The Loose … Again
Posted by: Craig Woolheater on April 8th, 2007
Back in February, I posted about an upcoming Sasquatch movie here on Cryptomundo entitled Paper Dolls.
See Killer Sasquatches On The Loose … Again
I received an email message Saturday from the guys at BadFritter Films with an update about the movie.
Sasquatch movie!!!!!
Hey Craig–
We saw your article on “Paper Dolls“, our film, and it was pretty great.
Thanks for the exposure! We were really cracking up about people’s comments. They don’t seem to have the highest hopes about the film, but I suppose the fact that there has NEVER been a good sasquatch movie has lead to this.
We hope people will be surprised by ours. We just finished the offline edit of the film this week and will enter it into the market as soon as possible. Hopefully it will be available for viewing this summer or very soon after.
We have a teaser up and we would really appreciate it if you would let people know.
The best to you,
The BadFritters

Wow I watched the trailer a few times and that hand slap sent chills through me every time. I’m not much into horror but Seeing the kid in the begining I guess at least he lives!! 🙂 I might even check this one out.
Has this man never seen Harry and the Hendersons? That movie was best. It’s actually finally going to be released on DVD this month. Craig I wish you or Loren would report on that.
Sasquatches playing red rover red rover….I can’t wait!
Harry and the Hendersons Rule!! Ok, besides that one, how many others didn’t have big foot killing people? Even sasquatch on the 6 million dollar man wasn’t very nice, and he was a “robot” (wasn’t the term used tri-onics?). I’ll have to get my sister-in-law to log into myspace so I can see it.
I was actually surprised how well done this trailer was! Is this movie a low budget production? Because this trailer is actually halfway decent and pretty effective. I know I want to see this film. Hopefully the creature effects aren’t too hokey because that would kill the mood set by this trailer! 🙂
Shumway10973- Killing people is certainly not the best way to stay hidden, is it? 🙂 I think that sort of plot is kind of needed though since I don’t think too many people want to see a film of Bigfoot just cavorting about minding their own business. It would be nice to see one as a good guy from time to time, though. And I agree that Harry and the Hendersons rocks!
If you use the term “Sasquatch” more loosely, the Hammer film “The Abominable Snowman” is also considered a very good one (as many people here already know), and there are others. (People tend to use that word “never” much too loosely.) I agree with mystery_man, though, that a non-violent movie (Harry and the Hendersons aside) wouldn’t be likely to do so well.
Clawed and Fire Mountain were not that bad, even a little thrilling, in my opinion.
Just watched “The Abominable Snowman” again last night (old vhs) and I have “Half-Human” on dvd coming soon in the mail. I’m sure I’ll check out this new one, also.
Looks good!
Speaking of low budget cryptid type movies, you should all check out Dog Soldiers, kind of cheep costumes but still one of the best and bloodiest werewolf films I’ve seen!
As a connoisseur of the B-rate movie, I feel that this new feature could very well be the best of the last 10 years or so. Dog Soldiers was great, but as a resident of the Pacific Northwest, and an American, I am glad to see some native folklore brought to the big screen (I hope). I would love to get more information on the release date of this film.
It does look pretty good, even a little scary. We’ll just have to see though. Hopefully they had a decent budget for the sasquatch costumes. Nothing ruins a good performance like a cheaply made costume. Especially when the film makers show the creature too much. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for this one.
