This Friday, April 17, 2007, is “Halloween at Hadlock.” I will be appearing at the Portland Sea Dogs – the Red Sox AA game – with Dan Gordon, the co-author of Haunted Baseball: Ghosts, Curses, Legends & Eerie Events (Lyons Press, 2007).
Dan will be giving away five just-off-the-press editions of Haunted Baseball, and I will distribute five free copies of the 2007 edition of Mysterious America.
We will be there to meet all kinds of folks, from baseball fans to ballpark Forteans.

About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
Wow, what luck!! I’m actually going to Maine for vacation this Friday and had planned to see the ‘Dogs. Now, I not only get to see a great baseball game, but I get to meet the greatest Crypto writer there is and maybe get an autograph on my copy of Mysterious America. Very Cool !! 🙂
Yes, I’ll autograph any and all books that anyone wishes to bring to the ballpark for me to sign, whether I wrote them or not. Just kidding, but you know what I mean.
You can’t bring liquids into the ballpark, but you can bring your own books.
Other than what the Sea Dogs sell (the ballpark program), no books will be sold during this event.
How the Sea Dogs decide to give away our books, btw, is up to the Sea Dogs.
It should be fun.
