About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct).
Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015.
Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
Well they were there for 48H’s and didn’t find anything however Ryan is convinced there is something to the story.
Myself I’m not to convinced in their psychics ability but who am I to really say?
As 1 person stated “There just was to many people who saw it to really believe it was a prank”.
So I don’t know about the show, I got more out of this site than I did with the program but it was presented well and I think it’s a good way of getting these mysteries out there.
It was interesting. I thought the psychic giving insight into the Mothman’s thoughts was interesting. He made it sound as if there were multiple creatures. I have spent considerable amount of time out in the TNT area, day and night, to hear birds is common. I think they over dramatized the feathers and birds.
You know I think that this show has had more success in providing evidence that ghost are real than every other show ive seen combined on the subject, and that was just the first episode. Im having alot of trouble buying into this shows validity.
The host’s statement at the beginning of the episode “Bigfoot, Yeti and Loch Ness have been debunked” put me on guard. More evidence for The Mothman than any of the other mysteries? I’ve got doubts about the psychic, too. He really just made general statements that anyone could have deduced from surface knowledge.
I’ve watched the show before and am not impressed. Don’t expect season two.
I couldn’t agree more w/ nightawk9999 & qumrum. This clown absolutely dismissed Bigfoot & Yeti at the beginning of the show, but there has been physical evidence of these cryptids found, and yet not one iota of any physical evidence of the Mothman has ever been found. I also thought the psychic was a complete fraud! Who brings a psychic on a cryptid investigation? I thought that they brought him to add drama, but there was no reason to. The collapse of the bridge and the tragic death of all those folks was enough. I thought Paranormal state did a piss-poor job on that episode, and I hope there won’t be a season 2.
this show has always sent the red flag up with me. everything is just too well rehearsed. is it me or do they have some kind of encounter at “dead time” every show? really? i feel the “team” exploits most of the people they are there to help. hopefully they will all graduate and this show will fade out into syndication. maybe we can get teh producer of monsterquest to recruit this team for his show. he can cut his time in half and solve every paranormal or crypto question in one season. too convenient.
It definitely left me wanting more. Wondering about the reference of the 9/11 sighting that was mentioned? I love the A&E show, but you can tell when the producers are trying to make more out of a story. MOST of their episodes have good evidence.
I tried to watch the show a couple of times, and decided it was a bunch of hokum.
Ryan has a messiah complex, not to mention a persecution complex. Everything seems to be demonic in origin to his mind, too, which puts me on my guard right away.
And the psychics? Oy. Don’t get me started. They were a bunch of clueless crystal-crunching Neo-Pagan dabblers with no common sense.
So, no, I didn’t see the Mothman episode, although I would have tuned in had I known about it so I could point and laugh, being as I grew up in West Virginia with Mothman as part of the public consciousness.
what a stupid show. “The Hills” of the paranormal. Gives legitimate investigation into mysterious phenomena a bad name.
“Dead Time”?
solutions always through faux exorcisms?
sitting through this is as bad as watching Bill Birnes call everything a UFO on the History Channel.
