SPECIAL TREAT FOR ALL [BIGFOOT] FANS
Benjamin Radford and Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman will be conducting a special discussion Panel at the event about the recent Bigfoot Body Hoax in Georgia since both men were interviewed numerous times during the incident [by] several National media outlets. Believe me when I say no punches will be pulled during this discussion. Questions will be taken from the audience.

Above is the official announcement about this. A little background: I’ve been on the speakers list for months, and when they added Ben on Friday, as opposed to the created drama of a debate, I threw out the counterproposal for a panel to discuss the events and details of the recent media circus on Biscardi’s Folly, the Georgia Bigfoot hoax, something we could both agree on and discuss reasonably. If anyone here is attending the Lexington event, let me know. I’m looking for a media personality and one other Bigfoot researcher for the panel. ~ Loren

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  1. Ceroill responds:

Sounds exciting, Loren, and makes me wish I could be there! Any chance of seeing at least excerpts from the Q&A in this column, once it’s all over?

  2. cryptothekid responds:

I’m probably coming for this, since I live in Lexington. But I’m 15, so I don’t think you’d want me in the panel.

  3. Gene Brock responds:

I live about 25 miles south of lexington, Ky would love to help out if you still need someone.

  4. Terrence 13 responds:

I bought my ticket a few weeks ago to attend Sept. 13 and will be driving down from Cincinnati, OH. I am looking forward to this VERY much.

  5. kittenz responds:

Wow… I’ve looked forward to this ever since it was announced, but I’m not going to be able to attend. I’ve just had unexpected major surgery and I can’t travel safely yet. What a bummer. On top of that my mother is very ill right now, hospitalized for cancer treatments, so I’ll have to miss this.

Oh well; I’ll certainly follow it online. It’s sure to be lively.

One good thing that may come of the recent hoax: maybe national media coverage will be present for the panel discussion. (There’s sure to be some local coverage of the event by Lexington stations, but who knows how responsible that will be. Most Bigfoot stories done by local news are “tongue-in-cheek, rather than serious news reporting.)

  6. Ayala responds:

I am sad to hear that Kittenz is unavailable. 🙁 I always find her comments to be well thought out and informative. I would have recommended her for the panel. I am in KY, but I’m not a public speaker. I hope you can find someone.

  7. kittenz responds:

Thanks Ayala, for your kind words, but I don’t think I would make a great panel member since I’m not a Bigfoot expert. I’d love to have been an audience participant though 🙂 .

Well, health and family have to come first. Maybe I’ll get another chance to attend one of Loren’s discussions sometime.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
