55 Feet Long Unknown Fish Species Found in China
A 55 feet long fish has been found in the seashore of Guangdong, China.
According to a local newspaper, the big fish weighs at least 10,000 pounds.
Hwang, a 66-years-old fisherman living in the near area, said he has never seen anything like this in his whole life and that the fish was tied with ropes when it was first found.
Many people have flocked to see this strange specimen since its discovery, although its rotting corpse already emits a foul smell.
The people living in the area think the fish was caught by some fisherman but was abandoned due to its heavy weight, hence the ropes.
Due to the serious decay of the fish’s body, it is almost impossible to identify the species, according to the local newspaper.
The fish was discovered on April 25th.International Business Times

Probably not a fish, at all, but a mammal. A cetacean.
Otherwise known as a WHALE.
Looks like a dead whale. The lack of fish scales is a dead giveaway.
That looks an awful lot like what’s left of a dead whale to me.
Surely with its size and features, it’s a whale.
But that faded tan/blonde color? Could it be… Moby Dick?!
As to the identity it’s obviously a rorqual (ventral grooves from the tip of the decomposed rostrum to the estimated middle of the body and one bone of the curved lower jaw of a rorqual sticking out of the sand near the rostrum). According to most chinese sources the length of the carcass was only 13 meters (42 feet) what is also the opinion of Scott Baker of Oregon State University Marine Mammal Institute. It’s not possible to identify the exact species as the carcass shows no distinct feature like for example the carcass of Ataka has done. So it could be any rorqual from Fin- to Sei-, Blue- or Bryde’s whale. As whale strandings in this part of the world are rare the whale was buried for now but the chinese officials will examine the carcass later.
