Seeking Secretary Birds in Southeast Asia
Posted by: Karl Shuker on April 28th, 2013
I am delighted to say that from now on, all of my cryptozoology-related ShukerNature blog posts will be introduced and directly linked here on Cryptomundo. As a longstanding fan and follower of Cryptomundo, I consider this to be a great honour for me, and am exceedingly grateful to Craig Woolheater for enabling this to happen. So here is my very first Cryptomundo-linked ShukerNature post, concerning a long-forgotten mystery bird.
“The secretary bird is the name given to that elegant and endemic African bird of prey known scientifically as Sagittarius serpentarius. Although this is a very familiar species, much less familiar is that it has a cryptozoological counterpart, reported far from African shores – in the Philippines, no less.”
Further details are contained here on my ShukerNature blog.

Well, I for one am glad these are here. Fascinating reads, and excellent examples of critical thinking applied to a field that badly needs it.
