Will Cryptotourism in Malaysia Be Halted Too?

Even as reports come out that a group called Singapore Paranormal Investigators are heading to Johor, Malaysia to plan future expeditions to track down the local Bigfoot, Chinese forestry officials announce that tourism services at the Shennongjia Nature Reserve in China will be suspended for nearly 3 months.

Initially, there was hope that the Bigfoot sighting flap would increase tourism in Malaysia. But are these new Chinese moves some kind of backlash from events in Malaysia? Chinese officials may be suspending tourism in fear of too much interest in their "Bigfoot," the Chinese Wildmen or Yeren.

Be careful what you wish for, you just may get it. Besides, what are some "paranormal investigators" with "metal detectors to measure magnetic fields for abnormal readings" going to find anyway?
