Monsters opens October 29th.
Anyone else looking forward to this?
About The Film
Six years ago previously, a NASA probe returning to earth with samples of an alien life form, crashed over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear, and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain “the creatures”… The story begins when a US journalist agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border.

It’s looks good. Kind of a mesh between WAR OF THE WORLDS-GODZILLA-CLOVERFIELD-DISTRICT 9 type of film.
Can’t be any worse than PANDORUM. That was awful!! ;p
I saw this already. Not bad.
Your in for a let down, I’ve seen this flick and it’s a drama with a wiff of monsters in it. There was more monster action in cloverfield and we all know how little screen time the big beastie got in that one. You want to see some thing crypto and great then check out Troll Hunter! It deals with a a group of students who are doing a documentary on bear poaching in northern norway who encounter a goverment sanctioned troll hunter and find that trolls are very real!
Just FYI…this is “on demand” already on cable for 9.99. Looks good, reminds me of District 9.
Was always a fan of the 50’s and 60’s monster flicks so I will be sure to check it out. There was usually more fiddling around than monster action in those too, but some were really good–have to put them at the top of the list…and Godzilla. 🙂
Was not a fan of District 9, even though it had possibilities…but the idea behind it was good.
And thanks for the heads up on Troll Hunter. Will check that one out too. 🙂
This is a VERY good movie and VERY well done.
Watched on demand a few weeks ago.
From what I’ve read on it, it only cost the Director 500 grand to make. I’m sure it’ll make much more than that.
I’ve watched it. One’s expectations need to be metered. The monsters are rarely seen, but are well done. It is more of a story about two people trying to make it through dangerous territory. The threat of the monsters is an interesting story element which creates suspense.
My advice is to sit back and enjoy the journey, let yourself be immersed in the fantasy of it.
