Todd Standing Bigfoot video as seen in Survivorman Bigfoot show with Les Stroud.
Guest review by Cryptomundian JW:
Suvivorman: Bigfoot Nordegg premiered on Discovery Channel on April 9th here in the US.
Filmed in Alberta, Canada the scenery is beautiful with rolling hills and thick green forest. Suvivorman Les Stroud professes to be a Bigfoot skeptic, “I need to be able to see it in order to believe it!”. Stroud teams up with tracker Todd Standing. Standing has produced video and photos in the past of what he maintains are “Bigfoot”. Unlike many videos or photos from others, Standing’s video and photos are extremely clear even with closeup faceshots. Standing has been both defended and ridiculed as a hoaxer.
The main focus of the episode seems to be broken trees and tree structures that Standing has found in the wilderness. Stroud finds it very interesting they are seeing broken trees at intervals all leaning the same direction. “Perhaps they are a map or an attempt at communication”. Several times during the show Stroud mentions he must not fall “prey” to the power of suggestion. Both Stroud and Standing agree the tree structures are 30 to 50 years in age. While studying the tree structures, Stroud is unable to explain what’s he’s seeing. “I work with trees all the time, I could build this but the level of difficulty is extreme. I’m challenged to disprove this, this is powerful.”
While in the forest both Standing and Stroud are making “whoop” sounds. According to Standing, it is a way to let the Bigfoot know they are in the forest. At one point both stop and react to what they say is a return “whoop”. It is not audible on the video. Standing is quick to react, “That was a Bigfoot … That was a Bigfoot”. Stroud’s reaction was “I heard it, it was very clear”.
The episode ends with Les Stroud being alone camping in the forest. He suddenly looks to his right as though he hears something …. Episode 2 has been setup!
Both Les Stroud and Todd Standing appear to be sincere. This is not an “In Your Face” show and was well done. Is it real? I cannot say it’s real but episode one was very entertaining. I’m looking forward to episode two.
