Weird Travels with Bigfoot

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on January 5th, 2006

For centuries, legends of hairy, apelike beasts have terrified remote regions around the globe and we’re hot on the trail to uncover the truth behind the legend of Bigfoot.

Weird Travels: Bigfoot airs Friday, Jan. 6 at 9 PM and 12 AM midnight, also again at 9 AM Jan. 7 and 5 PM Jan. 30 on the Travel Channel. All times listed are CST. Check your local listings for the airtime in your area.

This is the episode that I participated in. The film crew was in the field with members of my research group during this research operation, as well as spending time with me in Jefferson, TX and out on Caddo Lake. We also took a day trip to Fouke, AR to check into the local legend of the Fouke Monster.

Regarding the Malaysian sighting. I drew a drawing almost identical to that (human, not apelike), an eyewitness account I had of a “bigfoot” type creature in Chicago in the early 1990s. I have a picture of the creature which I drew a while ago. It’s on the website: http://www.proofreader.tvheaven.com

    Craig,
I really enjoyed the special. You came off as very creditable. All in all it was one the best Bigfoot specials I have watched. Between this special and the Giganto special both treated this subject with the respect it deserves. Hopefully this trend will continue.

P.S. As being we looked to be about the same size I really liked your shirt, where did you get it?

  4. Joe Biello responds:

Finally another good documentary comes out! I am glad that they didn’t pander to the skeptics and give them any time to trash bigfoot at all. Craig it was good to see you on TV and have your group recognized with a good segment of the show!

  5. Mike Smith responds:

I as well saw the program on the Travel Channel. Very well done guys. I just wished it would have stayed with the investigating team. The sound bite that was played was great. Hope there will be more documentaries like this in the future. Great job!!!

  7. Craig Woolheater responds:

glendoor42, sorry for the delay. Just remembered this comment as another reader, Stosh, commented on my shirt after watching the show when it re-aired today.

It is a Chaps by Ralph Lauren Hawaiian shirt. Had it for many years. Probably one of my favorites. Bought it at Dillard’s 5 or 6 years ago.

  8. Autumnbelle responds:

Will definitely be watching the episode in a little while — have to report on it for the fan club. Might also have to share the info you gave Glendoor 42 about the famous shirt!

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
