This is so awesome! A German version of a ‘Chupacabra’ documentary Nick Redfern and I did for National Geographic Channel a while back.

It seems to me the rancher lady is describing a GALLINACABRAS.
It seems to me that the chupacabras is becoming a celebrity cryptid with all kinds of places eager to come up with sightings.
And then the name gets tagged to the weird little dogs running amok.
The chup appears to becoming a scapegoat for every mutilated animal that gets discovered in the world.
The interesting thing to me, is not the chup, but the fact that there seems to be some sort of animal killings happening in lots of places that does not fit the usual parameters of attacks from cats, dogs or the like. I haven’t done enough research in this area to know if these kinds of killings have been going on for a long time, such that it has been ongoing for decades or even longer, and the chup just fits the m. o. and is getting tied to it. Or if we’re looking at a newer phenomenon. OR if the people finding these animals are really finding them actually drained of blood, or if the natural decomposition is making it look like said animals are drained of blood.
