We have finally obtained permission to release this photo sent to us by two witnesses in Far North Queensland. For Cultural and Security reasons they have asked for the precise location and identities to be wit-held. In October 2014, two men observed this ‘being’ from long range walking towards them. They thought it was workman in overalls and decided to wait for him to get closer. It wasn’t until it got closer that they realized what they saw and took this picture on their phone before quickly leaving the area.
The description was 8-9ft tall, covered in jet black hair, large stomach and muscular neck and shoulders walking like a man. They observed it (when this picture was taken) from a distance of 70-80 meters away.
Please note, we did not take this picture and the validity of the witnesses have been checked to the best of our ability and believe their story to be 100% genuine – we would love to know what you think?

One interesting thing about this picture is the left arm length, “if” that’s the left arm, it seems longer than normal and fits some descriptions of the primate kind of arm length of these creatures, going to the knee. But, it could also be something else in the photo just out of focus.
.
I really like this one because it’s so scary looking. Its huge size, those huge legs ! And it’s shape is so different from the usual man in suit. But of course it’s blurred, and of course it’s faked. Probably photoshopped.
I think they need better cameras in Australia.
first impression?
doesn’t look real.
then you scroll down and see the zoomed in version and it REALLY doesn’t look real.
the tree’s all cast a shadow… that ‘thing’ casts none.
first sign its not legit.
plus it doesn’t pass the eye test.
then there’s a weird pixelization around the thing in the zoomed version. so thats strike 3 for me.
Is anyone else troubled by how vertically stretched this image appears to be? (PhotoExpert, you there?)
And I’m kind of shocked there’s no discussion about what looks like a ghostly figure much closer to the camera, on the left of the path? It appears to be turned towards the purported “Yowie”.
Anyone else think they see a cane or walking stick in the “Yowie’s” right hand (assuming it is indeed facing towards the camera, which may itself be a stretch of the imagination…)
Vertically stretched – yes, because the image has been resized and the primary objects (trees) are vertical too. If you click on the one to resize for the full image it will start to look normal. There would be no shadow visible for the hairy-assed entity because of its location on the trail. The shadows are pretty much left to right horizontal lines across the trail from the trees and railings. The railings on the left indicate that the road inclines from the photographer and reaches an apex before the hairy-assed entity and then the road goes down a little before leveling off straight out of sight. So it isn’t in a position where you would see a shadow.
The problem with this picture is that the photographer must be as tall as or taller than the hairy-assed entity if he was holding the camera at eye level as most people would do. The photographer’s eye level over the closest railing is about the same as the hairy trail blazer. So if you had the height of the fence rails you could get a good estimate of the height. You might also want to find out the photographers position – were they in a vehicle? The picture taken with a POS cell phone camera (bad lens/horrible resolution)doesn’t seem to add up to the purported 8 to 9 feet in height without a lot more information.
A shonky picture of some yobbo swaggie. A blunder from down under.
The main image was vertically stretched while the close-up of the figure was stretched horizontally making it appear more robust than it actually is. Contact the AYP to view the unaltered original – the figure is a bit clearer and looks like a shirtless dark-skinned man in faded jeans approaching with a stick for walking in his right hand.
The art of leg-pulling is alive and well…
The dark figure down a little to the left of the alleged creature looks more like a Sasquatch..anyone see it?
Dougherty altered the vertical..because ???…then passes this around as legit..and forgets to tell anyone.
