Bigfoot Found?

Animal Planet goes from Finding Bigfoot to Bigfoot Found?

“The more we live apart from the wild world, the more we crave authentic experiences that bring us closer to that sweet spot where humans and animals coexist,” says Marjorie Kaplan, Group President of Animal Planet, TLC and Velocity, describing Animal Planet’s programming plans this morning.

“‘Living wild’ is a big part of our network’s underlying ethos and is our North Star when commissioning content,” chimed in the channel’s GM and EVP Rick Holzman. They touted Animal Planet’s third consecutive Top 20 ranking in 2014 among ad-supported cable nets with men 25-54. That might explain why upcoming programming plans include a new series about making vodka in Alaska – we’ll get back to you when we figure out what that has to do with animals, except maybe they’ll run into a few. And it appears they finally have found Bigfoot.

Here’s Animal Planet’s new and returning programming, announced today (March 31, 2015):
NEW SERIES/SPECIALS

BIGFOOT FOUND (WT): Renowned mountaineer Reinhold Messner and British scientist Mark Evans journey from the Italian Alps to the Himalayas to New York State in an epic search to find the legendary yeti. Featuring Messner’s survival skills and cutting-edge science, BIGFOOT FOUND is a visually spectacular, rugged adventure following one of the most involved and exhaustive expeditions ever to find the legendary creature. Icon Films produces River Monsters and produced the Bryan Sykes’ Bigfoot: Revealed special.

  1. Fhqwhgads responds:

Sorry, but I expect this to end up with a lame claim to have discovered “the Bigfoot within all true nature lovers.” If so, I will have discovered the rat within all network execs.

  2. bitchSpray responds:

Friendly reminder: this comes from the TV channel that produces “Finding Bigfoot”.

Is bigfoot found in the same way they “found” mermaids in that “documentary” some time ago? Although I respect Messner a lot, this is going to be another open-ended hoax…

  3. dconstrukt responds:

thing is, they messed up when naming these shows…

it should be “NOT finding bigfoot”. because in 3+ seasons they haven’t even remotely found ANY evidence or proof of it… which is utterly pathetic coming from such “experts”.

based on that… this new show is really named “bigfoot never found”. because thats 99% whats going to happen on this show…. nothing.

wished we went back to the time before all these bigfoot shows… because at least then you didn’t have to get frustrated at such GARBAGE and NONSENSE about the topic.

  4. zigoapex responds:

The day they are proven real, isn’t going to happen on some special, it’s going to be viral on msm within hours of vindication.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
