Disney’s Expedition Everest Yeti
Posted by: Craig Woolheater on February 14th, 2006
Loren has previously written here on Cryptomundo about the new Disney attraction Expedition Everest. Actually, a couple of times.
This is a projected image of the Yeti. In the animation, the Yeti rips a projected image of the track apart.
A closeup of the animatronic Yeti’s face. Check out them choppers. He doesn’t look like a herbivore here…
I may have to book a trip to Florida after seeing these photos…and it isn’t to go to Shealy’s Skunk Ape Headquarters…

I thought the Yeti had white hair.
Common misconception. Probably from seeing “Bumble”, the Abominable Snowman from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or the Yeti from Pixar’s Monster Inc. In those depictions, their hair was white, but I’m pretty sure most of the Yeti reports describe a darker coloring. I’m sure Loren can weigh in more on the coloring of the Yeti.
yea alot talk of grey or dark brown hair not quite black but definatly not white
I think the design team used the chinese golden snub-nosed monkey (Pygathrix roxellana) as a point of reference for the Yeti.
Ah yes, the one with the lemon snowcones.
