Update: Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid Project

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on September 3rd, 2013

Dr. Bryan Sykes gives an update on the status of the DNA study.

UPDATE – August 2013

Thanks to all who have contributed samples to the project. We have collected and analysed over thirty samples and results are being prepared for publication. Following normal procedure, no results or other information will be available prior to publication, so please do not enquire.

Though the collection phase is now over, hair samples can still be submitted for analysis, but the costs (about $2,000 per sample) will no longer be covered.Bryan Sykes

  1. Goodfoot responds:

I don’t know how much time, if any, these folks actually spend in the field, but it would certainly benefit any such analysis if they were to do so.

  2. DWA responds:

Notice how scientists do this: we will let you know what the results are when the results are published.

    When they aren’t doing that…beware.

  3. corrick responds:

If you believe in bigfoot and science, then this is the one study and report you’ve waited since the P-G film for. The science expertise and money spent is unparalleled.

  4. airforce47 responds:

I agree with Corrick and posted so on another site. It’s my belief Professor Sykes will uphold and expand on the claims of Dr. Ketchum. It’s a fact that some of the labs running her DNA tests reported findings that supported her conclusions. Her report was controversial for a variety of reasons.

However, if Professor Sykes draws the same conclusions based on his samples which have a much greater degree of selection and submission then it’s a game changer. The Professors credentials are not to be questioned nor his methodology.

That still leaves the question of a specimen for a forensics pathologists exam table. However, it’s unknown how fast a game changer the Professor’s report will be. The system may respond with hunting bans and species recognition within hours of the release of his report or it may wait.

You may rest assured that Dr. Alton Higgins is watching the situation with a keen eye. His group is one of the few dedicated to obtaining a specimen. However, I still believe as did the late Dr. Krantz that a specimen will be needed to convince science to classify the species and accept them. My best,

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
