Is there Bigfoot in Georgia? Maybe there is…(Link is to news report with video clip)
"We ran an article in the newspaper, saying man sees something do you know what it is." said Alex McRae, Times-Herald reporter.
Alex McRae is a columnist for the Newnan Times-Herald. He’s written three stories about these sightings…a large hairy person walking upright. He doesn’t doubt the eyewitness reports.
"These are reliable people. They’re hard working, honest people with no reason to make these things up ad these incidents we’re talking about happening months apart so it’s not like someone said I just heard this let’s get in on the action. " said McRae.

Good Job Sam! I’ve investigated a couple of sightings around Newnan. It is roughly an hour and a half drive from me. You drive right by Elkin’s creek to get there, not far from the area the cast was made. That is the Flint river area, Newnan is more Chattahochee river. There has been a couple of more article written about the area over the years. Good job again to Sam.
With more news stories like that people are bound to catch on the bigfoot craze!!
We get a little closer everyday.
Hmmm. I’m not sure if we want more people on the Bigfoot ‘craze’. I think that lends to pranksters & silly-season media stories. What we want is Cryptid research to be seen as a legitimate field & its researchers impeccable. Right now we’re still out with the cranks.
hi loren and everyone wow this is definetly a very interesting article and replys about the ga sasquatch creatures. im sure sightings will pick up now becouse of all the heat in swamps will force sasquatch and other wildlife to look for water resources to keep cool from the heat of the weather and the sun. thanks bill
Great story maybe we will get some follow up news.
bill,
From my experience I’ve found that, when it is warmer, critters of all sorts are more likely to retreat deeper into the brush/forest where there is more shade, and to sleep through the heat of the day before becoming more active at dusk.
hi jeremy i totaly agree with your post about how ga sasquatch creatures probley sleep under trees or make temperary beds near swamps or woods in the shade to keep cool from hot weather. thanks for your reply to me. bill 🙂
