Update: OurBigfoot.com

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on November 1st, 2006

After the posts here on Cryptomundo exposed the site OurBigfoot.com as having taken images of Bigfoot tracks and casts from other sources and claiming them as their own, the site took down all of the images of the casts and tracks, and in their place offered the following statement:

This collection of bigfoot footprints were made by pouring plaster into fresh bigfoot tracks. After the plaster hardens, the plaster bigfoot cast footprint is removed. To date, we have taken more than 48 plaster footprints of the bigfoot we have been researching…coming soon.

Actually, the only part of that statement that is new is the last two words…coming soon. The previous three sentences were already there, with all of the photos that were "borrowed."

After the first two posts regarding the OurBigfoot.com website, I emailed the following message to the contact email address for the website:

Requesting information regarding your website, OurBigfoot.com. Can you give any additional info other than what is listed on the website?

Thanks, Cryptomundo

This is the reply I received:

Thanks for writing. More information is planned and will be released on the website this year.

Well, apparently the breaking news, as reported by Mr. Duplatt himself on his blog Ghost Pictures, is that Tom Biscardi is going to break the story of the OurBigfoot.com site!

OurBigfoot.com has created quite a stir among the bigfoot community with supposed realistic videos of the beast. The story about the relationship between the Duplatt family and a bigfoot family is intriguing, as well.

Stay tuned, as the story behind this site is going to be broken by professional bigfoot tracker Tom Biscardi of SearchingForBigfoot.com!

They have created a stir alright! The best is yet to come, I’m sure!

Should I hold my breath in anticipation?

  2. rani124 responds:

I just loaded the main page of ourbigfoot.com and noticed this at the bottom of the page.

“This website is intended for entertainment purposes only.
It is for fun, and fictional at best. Hope you enjoyed your visit!”

  3. Raptorial responds:

No chrisandclauida2, not really. If it has Tom Biscardi as the story breaker I doubt that anything good will come out of it.

  4. derfboy responds:

I was pumped till I heard the name Tom Biscardi. Like Cheech and Chong, that story went up in smoke.

  5. Ray Soliday responds:

Where is the movie that Biscardi and Tizodd were making, I thought it would be out this Fall, (yawn), I think I’ll wait for the cliff notes to come out.

  6. carnivore responds:

With all the frauds & fakes over the years, no reputable person would study or do a report on this creature if a body did turn up. They would be laughed out of the scientific comunity. It’s a shame it’s become such a joke.

  7. elsanto responds:

As rani124 astutely points out, the website does have a disclaimer. Admittedly, I have only been following Cryptomundo since September, and missed the previous posts on Ourbigfoot.com (as if the name itself wasn’t a giveaway), so I have no clue whether said disclaimer was or wasn’t there. Surely someone can confirm whether or not it was there previously…

  8. mystery_man responds:

This kind of high profile hoax makes me squirm. Tom Biscardi in the mix? Groan.

  9. planettom responds:

rani124: thanks for pointing that out, I think I missed that before, or it was just recently added. Not that I took this website seriously to begin with.

    Good work Craig!

  10. planettom responds:

In the comment above, I wanted to clarify that I don’t/didn’t take the Ourbigfoot website seriously, I was not speaking of Cryptomundo.

  11. Craig Woolheater responds:

The following disclaimer that is now posted on the website:

“This website is intended for entertainment purposes only.

It is for fun, and fictional at best. Hope you enjoyed your visit!”

was not posted on the website when we originally discussed it back in July. It has apparently been added since.

  12. dharkheart responds:

This is in the lowers left hand corner of the page:

“All content copyright 2006 Angels & Ghosts, LLC [email protected]
This website is intended for entertainment purposes only.
It is for fun, and fictional at best. Hope you enjoyed your visit!”

  13. One Eyed Cat responds:

When I saw TB’s name the word ‘bedfellows’ popped into my head.

Hum, wonder if TB has read the disclaimer yet?

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
