Bigfoot and Ronald McDonald?
Posted by: Craig Woolheater on February 14th, 2006
Reuters reports today that Bigfoot and Ronald Mcdonald will be sharing a park bench soon.
In the McDonald’s commercials, a variety of characters encounter a plastic statue of Ronald McDonald sitting on a park bench. In one, Bigfoot finds the bench in a forest and mirrors Ronald’s relaxed pose.
According to McDonald’s USA Chief Creative Officer Marlena Peleo-Lazar, the ads aim to appeal to consumers’ emotional attachment to Ronald while also conveying a hipper feel.
“(Ronald) is cool,” Peleo-Lazar said. “By putting him into these things … we just widen the berth of his coolness.”
At least we’ll know that it’s not the guy in the clown suit wearing the Bigfoot suit…

I hope they make a bigfoot toy from this… I’d buy a few… even if I have to eat a few happy meals to get ’em.
I’m loving it!
Did you say T.B. and Bigfoot were seen sitting on a park bench discussing Bigfoots next “capture”?
So, is the plastic Ronald McDonald supposed to compete with the serial killer-esque Burger King mask?
Lee, imagine this tag team match:
In the McDonald’s corner, we have Ronald McDonald and Bigfoot.
And in the Burger King corner, we have the creepy King and the Subservient Chicken.
Man, that King is creepy!
Who are you going to put your $$$ on?
Obviously Subservient Chicken– He always does as he’s told…
