Update: Skunk Ape Evidence Release Today?
Posted by: Craig Woolheater on August 20th, 2012
This video shows three types of primates live wild in the swamps and pine forest of Florida. They are almost impossible to find, for they avoid humans. The evidence is mounting that they are indeed there, and growing. See for yourself.
Part of the Green Swamp episode was shot when a Hollywood crew came to Tampa to film us. They only wanted to shoot me at a public park with water behind me. I could not get them to go to the swamp where the gang was waiting. As we did the thing in the park, Kevin and the boys hit the mother load and it could have been on their camera. Timing is important in life I guess.
A special thanks to Kevin, George, Dave and Rob. None of this would have been possible without their help. These are some very talented guys that work hard.Tim Fasano
About Craig Woolheater

I have appeared in or contributed to the following TV programs, documentaries and films:
OLN's Mysterious Encounters: "Caddo Critter", Southern Fried Bigfoot, Travel Channel's Weird Travels: "Bigfoot", History Channel's MonsterQuest: "Swamp Stalker", The Wild Man of the Navidad, Destination America's Monsters and Mysteries in America: Texas Terror - Lake Worth Monster, Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot: Return to Boggy Creek and Beast of the Bayou.
Ok.. so there’s exotics running around in the wilds of Florida. Good thing no one knew that already.
Let me start off by saying, I am a believer in the skunk ape, but this video proves nothing.
1. The footprints are impressive, but it is not definitive proof.
2. Yes, the video does show indisputable proof that escaped pets or lab monkeys are living in groups, deep within the swamp, but I would dare to venture that most educated people believed that to be true, anyway.
3. The large structure was impressive, but whether it was built by skunk apes or humans, is debateable. I could see nothing inside the structure, even though the filmmaker insisted that a leg was visible.
4. The supposed skunk ape behind the tree was nothing more than a shadow. If something that big would have moved, it would have made some noise and the grass and branches would have moved as well.
5. The recordings of the supposed tree knocking was nothing more than distant gunfire. As a hunter who has been in the woods during the opening day of deer season, that was clear to me.
BUST !!
20 minutes of my life I’ll never get back. *Sigh*
‘A Skunk Ape is sleeping in there.’ Whatever you do, don’t wake him!
i saw the footage of the alleged evidence, some escaped macaques (?), a lot of footprints and nothing else…pretty lame
So he said we would be absolutely convinced in the first few minutes right? Weeeelllllll love the prints though
Another typical case of Tim Fasano calling attention to himself and way over-hyping his evidence. It’s sad, really; for a while there, in the beginning, he did good work.
The breeding population of Rhesus macaques that live in Florida is well documented.
No surprises there.
The footprints look interesting, but more images/print casts need to be forth-coming. As to the “Skunk Ape”/Bigfoot evidence…well, I’m not sure what’s going on there. I wasn’t able to discern anything really from the “Southern Sasquatch” videos. But, I think that this was at least a positive collection of images and reports and perhaps leading in the right direction. Now that they feel they know enough about the cryptid and its habits, some well-placed trail cameras should be able to clear things up. Notice they had little trouble filming the macaques. Some macaque species live in urban areas and do quite well and are not fearful of humans. What I found most interesting was the narrator’s use of the the term “hybrid”. Hybrid of what? Certainly not of a macaque – which is a monkey – and a Bigfoot. I hope there is more to come.
Yeah and 3 things stuck out. He is 1 ‘World Renowned” Bigfoot Hunter, 2 FB/FB said his video was #9-for what reason?, and 3 He makes way too much noise. Did like the footprints though
Well If I was a Skunk Ape, I wouldn’t want to be awakened by some old fart making alot of noise!
I’m just happy to see that these escaped lab monkeys are now able to live out their days in the wild. It looks like they are enjoying themselves.
@ 23:13 you can clearly see the Sass really dark face eyes looking dead at him. It blinks its eyes a couple of times. I just skipped around the video until I got to the good stuff.
Yet another big claim that utterly fails in every way. This video proves nothing that we didn’t already know.
So, how long until we get “Skunk Ape vs. Giant Python” on SyFy? Or would it be “Skunk Ape vs. Gatoroid”?
I could have sworn that I was told that there used to be a colony of monkeys living near Wakulla Springs, near Tallahassee. Several Tarzan movies were shot there, along with “Creature from the Black Lagoon”, but if they released the monkeys, the winters must have been too cold for them to have thrived.
The footage at the end I didnt know what I was meant to be looking at but the rest was intriguing.
I sorry folks, but this is just another attempt by a lonely little taxi cab driver to gain fame. That is why he puts his little videos on youtube. Down here in Florida, Mr Fasano had gained a reputation for being a glory seeker and nothing more. He was been observed putting down fake footprints to find. He is a source of amusement for the local hunter who watch him in the tree line filming himself, supposedly deep in the Florida swamps. They told me that they try to mess with him, when they see him out there. He is correct about the monkeys. He might have gotten lucky with the footprints, because that is a well known area for Skunk Ape sightings. But remember this group was trying to put together a pilot for a television show. You’ve got to have something show, otherwise nobody is interested in purchasing the show. I have never personally met Mr Fasano and to be quite honest, I really don’t want to.
All of the above is in my opinion and does not reflect the opinions of those who run Cryptomundo.
A major contribution?! This is nothing more than an attempt to sell a pilot for a television show.
We’ll be convinced, eh? All these footprints look pretty human to me. I don’t see the ‘long toes’ Fasano was talking about.
@shownuff
I don’t see anything… Where exactly on the screen are we supposed to be looking at?
OK, I watched the video again…let me get this straight – there are in Florida, exotics (Rhesus monkeys), Sasquatch and a “Hybrid” called “Skunk Ape”. Is he implying that the hybrid Skunk Ape is a cross between a Sasquatch and a Rhesus monkey?
My rememberence of High School Biology tells me that’s not possible between different families and if they were somehow artificially crossed, the offspring would certainly be infertile…think mule or Liger. No way for breeding colonies. I was hopeful at first…now less so. And, what’s with the music in this video?
“Don’t Wake the Skunk Ape”. I can see a tee shirt here.
Thank you, shownuff. I looked at the 24 minutes on the video and thought, “Ugh.”
The eye is interesting. It looks pretty big. If you divide the full screen into quarters, vertically. You can see it at the 23:12-15 marks at the left most quarter, center right.
In terms of why the thing doesn’t move, the theory–not mine–is that Sasquatch are ambush predators.
The structure was impressive. I too did not see a “leg.” What I did see could have been a piece of boar, similar to what was show early in the video.
I guess we’ll have to wait another year for the next “big” announcement. Hmmm. Hey, does anyone know what happened to that “face print” on the pickup from California from last year? I thought they were trying to raise money for a DNA test.
When he gets to the leaf structure with a “skunk ape sleeping inside,” he pokes around the door then says something like: “I’ll just turn off this camera while I go in for a closer look.”
If ever there was a time to leave the camera on, that was it.
Agreed, the footprints are the best stuff he found. But at his confident assertion that the animal is 6’6″ because he has a pal who is 6’3″ and the prints are just a little bigger than the pal’s, his credulity was strained and almost snapped.
Still, at least he’s out there looking and here I am at my computer criticizing him, so I guess he wins.
Unfortunately Craig even though the monkeys might be genuine anyone could just bring a few along in a cage empty ’em out onto the nearest branches and start shooting.
The blinking black furry critter reminded me more of a black cat we used to have peering at us from the jungle our back garden became as a result of endlessly putting off getting a mower.
I now see what shownuff pointed out. It is in the upper left when he zooms in and when he moves before he zooms out, its in the center. It looks like eye shine…or a leaf. I have a similar video where you look and you can see a face. Starting at 1:10 you ca see what looks like a face, with two dark sockets right of the center, with perhaps a stick breaking the face up into mostly left of the face and some on the right. Or its a tree trunk. And the same at 1:50. Looks like a dark face center of the screen. And perhaps another part of a different face between the big and little trees or even the left shoulder of the face creature. And another at 2:24, the left eye/face and shoulder of something. Or a leaf. Hard to tell. These were shot in GA in the 90s.
Pardon me while I cease waiting.
“I’ll just turn off this camera while I go in for a closer look.”
Okay. Gotcha. And you’re trying to find Bigfoot for me.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…..[sound fades into distance as DWA heads on down the road]
