‘Monster’ Carcass Washes Ashore in New Zealand

A mysterious carcass washed ashore in New Zealand last week, fueling speculation about sea monsters and dinosaurs. The rotting animal was discovered by a group on four-wheel vehicles speeding along the beach in Bay of Plenty.
According to a story in New Zealand’s Sun Live newspaper, “beachgoers were stumped when they came across what they thought was a prehistoric creature on the shore … stretching about 9 meters (30 feet) in length with large teeth and rudimentary flippers.”
Video of the fearsome-looking animal was soon posted to YouTube, asking the public for help in figuring out what it was.
A marine biologist soon identified the remains as a killer whale, in part because of its distinctive flipper. The mystery was solved, but it’s not the first time an animal’s carcass has been mistaken for a monster. In fact, New Zealand is one of the most common places in the world — along with Newfoundland, Canada and Florida — for such “sea monsters” to appear.

But it is amazing how many people here in the bible belt don’t believe in those dinosaurs…they go against God.
They already confirmed it was the carcass of a killer whale.

As in the case of the lost carcass in New Zealand in 1977, found by a Japanese trawler, in which case the victim was a Basking Shark and not a plesiosaurus, this is an orca.
A killer whale would be my two pence worth.
Whale carcasses are so cool looking
This looks very much like a decomposed killer whale, especially the teeth although at nine meters, it’s very big even for a male, unless of course they measured it to the very end of the loose strands of decomposing tail flukes, in which case it might very well fall into the average size catagory of about 5 to 7 meters.
I’m sure I will be the hundredth person to have said this, once the comments are released, but as there are none showing yet-
How is this not a killer whale?
Cool find, none the less. If I were the kid who found it, I’d be scheming how to get it home and how to display it on my dresser top.
I don’t know what dinosaurs they would be talking about? Since neither plesiosaurs or mosasaurs are dinosaurs.
