here’s what doesn’t make sense to me…
people usually report bigfoots as being able to run/walk FAST, WAY faster than a human….
(although the PG one doesn’t seem to move too fast.)
If this thing was chasing someone thru bush/forrest… don’t you think it could catch them if it wanted to?
Awesome.
Was there a bigfoot in this footage? It could have been 90% shorter.
dconstrukt: simple. It didn’t want to catch anybody.
It was conducting an intimidation display. All known apes do it, and they’re all pretty similar.
Patty wasn’t moving fast because as far as Patty was concerned she didn’t need to. She moved more than fast enough to elude P and G when they followed on horseback.
interesting… makes sense.
RE: the running… you think? I dont see patty running like other sightings describe.
it was in the wide open being spotted by humans… these things are supposed to be shy and not wanting to be seen… why wouldn’t it be hauling ass?
dconstrukt:
Actually, numerous reports describe an animal in no more hurry to leave the scene than Patty. In fact, there are more than a few that describe an animal that stopped to scrutinize its scrutinizer before moving leisurely on. Here are a couple:
Man has close encounter on remote dirt road while scouting for wildlife.
Motorist has nighttime sighting of animal east of Lebo
Then some were taken by surprise when they didn’t want to be and tore hell out of there. I’ve seen just the same full gamut of reactions from bear, deer and other wild animals. Some walked by me, feet away, as if I were literally not there. Others actually approached me. Others tried to sneak away, thinking I couldn’t see them; others just walked away; others bolted. Same species – sometimes in the same general area – but way different reactions.
It makes sense to me that, denial not being something animals particularly do, these critters are far more familiar with us than we are with them. We forget that, and assume they’re the same way about us that we are about them. I’d doubt that, from my experience with animals.
Agreed. There are plenty of reports available with Bigfoot hauling butt. There have also been lots of reports of people in the woods (often times hunters) who happen to look up and see a Bigfoot, and the Bigfoot is already looking in their direction over great distances. I get the idea that Bigfoot pays a lot more attention to its surroundings than we do–even moderately trained persons, and are able to pick us out of a patch of trees long before we see them. It’s their home, after all, and they’re in it 24 / 7, unlike most humans who just venture into it to hunt, hike or ride ATV’s.
If the Bigfoot described above had wanted to grab someone, it would have.
