    Weird but cool story.

  2. cryptokellie responds:

This – if actual remains – are from the hind leg of a bear. Note the toes ending with actual claws. With the exception of a “grooming claw” which some primates/lemurs have, no higher primates have claws on either hands or their feet. Google bear foot bones and or musculature and see the similarities. Remember that the claws on bear’s hind feet are smaller than the front ones. Bears have very similar feet anatomy to humans, both are plantigrade with soles and toes flat to the ground.

  3. semillama responds:

I was willing to go along up to the “two black suburbans” part. Probably parts of a decomposing bear and a BS story cooked up to accompany it.

  4. JamesP responds:

    Some red flags for me.

    1) no date? Several years ago isn’t good enough and leaves a lot of room for shenanigans.
    2) the ever-popular black suburban. perfect vehicle so the poster can avoid questions.
    3) 2ns pic looks like it has claws, not toes.

I’m leaning towards big cat and not bigfoot.

  5. Ploughboy responds:

‘kay. If you are convinced that Bigfoot lives, and I do, then it follows they have to have bones to get around. But, is it just me, or does anyone else notice these pictures seem to be shots of different appendages, or one appendage that has be altered between shots. One very clearly shows the fleshy pad of the toes, and the other appears to only show the ends of the toe bones. What is up with that? And what is up with the orange day-glo color? Mold, fungus or some weird artifact of the process?

As we are not likely to have anything more than this, I’m betting it goes nowhere. Let me know if there is further backstory to tell.

    O.A.O.

  6. Insanity responds:

From what looks to be a pointed heel in the first picture and that there looks to be claws that are pulled up away from the soles in the second picture, I am going to go with the remains of a bear’s hind leg and foot.

  7. Goodfoot responds:

Wait, the Illinois River is in Oregon? And me with only two palms to sink my poor, poor face in….

(For the record, the Illinois River lies solely within the state of Illinois, and no other state.)

  8. JamesP responds:

Goodfoot, there is really an Illinois River in Oregon. Even a state park.

  9. hoodoorocket responds:

ERMEHGERD!!! They terk er ferns tooooo!!! MERN IN BLERK TERK ER FERNS!!!

Blatantly fake, because obviously the first thing Craig would have done is take “selfies” of himself with the rotting bear leg to update his facebook status with it with the comment “Yo, Chek my squatch swag, lolz. Fer REEL! YOLO!!!”.

  10. springheeledjack responds:

It’s “hinky” at best. A lot of story without a lot of anything but two pictures. And the two pictures don’t seem to jibe with one another. As was pointed out, the second definitely had claws.

And no offense, but just because boobs in a black suburban pull up and take everything, does that mean I give them my cell phone? Nope.

  11. eyeofstrm responds:

A couple years ago, really? Black Suburbans? Of course, this all makes perfectly good sense. Listen people, could you imagine the mass panic and rioting in the streets if proof of Bigfoot was actually presented to the public?

  12. Goodfoot responds:

    JamesP:

Eh. There oughta be a law against that. Why wasn’t it named the Mississippi, then?

  13. PoeticsOfBigfoot responds:

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve seen on the Internet all day. And I’ve been researching Medieval Christian art since 9:00 this morning.

  14. DWA responds:

As I thought, folks…more than one Illinois River…and not just in Illinois…
