It appears that Bigfoot imitates the sounds of other animals. I recommend you have this recording analyzed. There are experts that can distinguish genuine animal calls from imitations. Why guess, or speculate, when science can tell you for sure?

  2. DWA responds:

I am hearing a great horned owl…and something that, if you think it’s a coyote, you are either in denial, or you have never heard a coyote.

I think it sounds more like a man yelling…but it’s not a man. Woman nor child, neither. Sounds, just to me now, like a primate. And not our species of primate.

  3. springheeledjack responds:

That sounds in line with other recorded howls I’ve heard. It doesn’t sound like a person in the woods howling. It’s not a coyote either. I have heard the real deal.

    Cool.

  4. sasquatch responds:

    That’s creepy. Not a coyote.

  5. Goodfoot responds:

Yup, definitely not a coyote. I’m with DWA on this.

  6. cryptokellie responds:

I have horned owls and coyotes in my neighborhood. That is definitely an owl hooting but definitely not a coyote howling off in the distance. Landscape over distance can distort sounds but I don’t really know what that ragged howl is. The fact that the owl hoot is occurring along with the howl shows that the howl is off in the distance and thereby not bothering the owls. My best guess is that it is a red wolf short howl over some distance. Before some of you freak, go listen the huge range of howls, both classic long and short, and other noises that wolves can make. My second guess is that it is a man howling for some reason.

Also, if you want to be very unnerved, go listen to the sounds that red foxes can make. We’ve heard the mating cry at dusk and it’s very disturbing wailing across the woods. At times like a human baby crying. But this noise is not coming from a fox either.

i have no clue. i know nothing on this topic… but it would be cool to have it analyzed.

curious guys… why would it not be a known animal?

    heres why I ask…

if people have different voices, and different breeds of dogs sound different… why wouldn’t animals in the wild sound different as well?

i mean, a wolf in say washington, maybe it sounds different than one in say NJ… (just picking random areas to show the point)

maybe there’s animals making vocalizations and we mistake what it is for something else (like a bigfoot)?

i dunno… just asking because i’m sure its a possibility.

it’s a pretty big jump to say “I don’t know what it is, maybe its a bigfoot”
