ParaBreakdown looks at Very Compelling Footage of Skunkape/Bigfoot From Lettuce Lake Park Florida.
Sent in by someone named Matt, does this really show what has come to be known as a skunk ape or just another dude in a suit?

something in the left hand when it gets up to walk away… just noticed it.
some glistening in the sunlight when it hits it.
a fish?
a snake?
to me, this is the best video I’ve seen in… forever… the PG is obviously the best, the freeman ones are interesting too…
hopefully its not a hoax.
if so, its one of the best ones I’ve seen.
Although not quite as revealing or dramatic as the P/G footage or the Freeman footage, I believe the same situation applies here. This is either a person in a costume of some sort or an actual animal. Watch the enhanced footage at 1/4 speed and here are points to ponder;
The figure is sitting/kneeling on a structure and repeatedly scooping water or something up from the surface.
Gorillas in the wild do not usually drink from open water as they get almost all of their liquid requirements from the succulent vegetation they eat. Chimpanzees will drink from open water but normally bend down and use their lips and not their hands. Why a person in a costume would do this is not very clear.
When the person filming makes enough noise, the figure gets off whatever it was on and moves slowly around the the tree while swinging its arms. It appears to be holding something in it’s right hand. Too indistinct to guess at what that might be. The camera viewpoint then swings away from the subject with no attempt at a quick correction…odd. Was the camera mounted on the boat? Unfortunately, the scale is very difficult to determine as there is really nothing recognizable to match against the figure’s size in the frame. A trip back with someone standing in the same spot would be a great help. Of course the footage abruptly ends when the figure seems to be moving some brush aside and going off behind the tree.
Pros;
Very unusual activity for a costumed person in an infested and steamy swamp setting.
Odd combination of quick and ponderous movements.
The figure seem genuinely startled and beats a retreat…no phony peekaboo antics.
Figure holding something in at least one of it’s hands and doesn’t let go either. Interesting.
Cons;
Very convenient staging – front and center.
Arm swinging seems a little exaggerated in the “Patty” sort of way. But could be while wading through a choked swamp setting.
The camera viewpoint swinging away from the figure. Normally a dead giveaway but not sure here as the camera could have been mounted on the boat or due to water movement.
Footage just ends as though that’s that.
A follow-up with some scale in the same spot would clear up a few things…is this a person oddly clothed and catching crawdads or something more?

A cell phone?
Yeah, I agree this footage is head and shoulders above nearly everything else.
Why does the person dishonestly say, “They are walking, swimming and diving in an area where there are hundreds of 12 foot gators and water moccasins everywhere”? The video doesn’t show any swimming nor diving – only a person in a suit who is wading slowly through shallow water.
Also, there aren’t any 12 foot alligators nor water moccasins apparent in the video at all, yet the person claims that there are “hundreds” of them. If there were that many 12 foot alligators and water moccasins in that particular area, I doubt that he would want to paddle around there in a canoe!
One final note, the person who filmed this also claims that he thought that he had filmed a bear until he talked to a park ranger and took a closer look. I honestly don’t think that anyone could mistake this for a bear.
I think it’s a hoax.
lol…. ummm… a cell phone doesn’t wiggle like the item does in the things hands.
gotta either be a fish, some plant, leaf or a snake.
I am the farthest thing from a expert here, but my first impression: “This creature does not look like it is at home in this environment AT ALL.” Each movement looks tentative, like it is not sure whats going to happen next.
But that is just, as I said, an impression.
I’ve been monitoring this situation for a few days now, and I come away with two very distinct impressions: I am quite unimpressed with this malnourished primate; my Giganto-sense just doesn’t go off. Also, as one or more of you pointed out, this video ends so abruptly; there’s a certain unpleasantness about this whole affair.
