The Bigfoot in Texas? exhibit opens in two days. Needless to say, I am pretty nervous, waiting to see the exhibit. Anyone that knows me, knows that I get pretty anxious before one of my events opens.
The University of Texas San Antonio’s website featured this article on the event today.

The first somewhat comparable endeavor took place in 1978 at a conference held at the University of British Columbia, where scholars were brought together to meet and present papers. The University of British Columbia Press, Vancouver, published the proceedings ("Manlike Monsters On Trial") in 1980. More recently (October 2005), Bates College sponsored "Cryptozoology: Out of Time Place Scale," an exhibit
and three-day symposium addressing Bigfoot and related topics.
However, as a unique learning opportunity to engage in a fascinating subject from a scientific perspective, The University of Texas at San Antonio’s Institute of Texan Cultures “Bigfoot in Texas” exhibit and speaker series transcends previous efforts by institutions of higher education. The exhibit, prepared in cooperation with the Texas Bigfoot Research Center, features a sampling of some of the most credible and historically significant evidence in support of the existence of an undocumented bipedal ape in North America, including, for the first time, compelling regional evidence. In addition, the speaker series enables Texans to hear some of the most active and knowledgeable researchers involved with the investigation of the Bigfoot phenomenon.
