Due to the overwhelming success of the Small Town Monsters crowdfunding campaign for their next film, Boggy Creek Monster, there have been additional rewards added. The original goal was surpassed in just four days and the campaign is now rolling past the 150% funded goal. The first stretch goal was surpassed in just 8 days and thanks to this fact, all backers over the $35 level (or the $15 pre-order level) will be receiving a die-cut BCM window cling designed by artist Matt Harris.
Next up in the stretch reward list is a Kickstarter exclusive official “Crew Member” graphic emblazoned on the back of the t-shirts available in many of the reward levels. The final reward is an option to receive a blu-ray in lieu of a DVD of Boggy Creek Monster.
Reactions to the announcement of the film have been wildly supportive. The documentary will focus on the 1971 horror classic, Legend of Boggy Creek, and the true stories that inspired it, and will be filmed in Fouke, Arkansas in partnership with author and television personality, Lyle Blackburn. The titular monster became the subject of nationwide interest after a rash of sightings of a hair-covered beast rocked the tiny town of Fouke in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
