Counting Down to San Antonio

Well, it’s just about here. Opening weekend of the Bigfoot in Texas? exhibit at the Institute of Texan Cultures in San Antonio. The exhibit opens Friday morning at 10 AM. I’m leaving Dallas around noon on Thursday. Gotta be at the museum at 9 AM Friday morning for the press conference.

Bigfoot in Texas

Then I’m off to pick up Peter Byrne at the San Antonio airport at 1:30 that afternoon.

The lectures start at 1 PM on Saturday. Daryl Colyer, a lead field researcher/investigator for the Texas Bigfoot Research Center, will be talking about the history of Bigfoot in Texas.

Kathy Moskowitz Strain will be talking about a project that she has been working on for us at the Texas Bigfoot Research Center. She has been compiling the Native American folklore, traditions and legends of the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana tribes for the last 8 months or so.

Catherine Nixon Cooke will be doing a signing of her book Tom Slick Mystery Hunter. The book is about the life of her uncle, Tom Slick, and includes his expeditions to the Himalayas in search of the Yeti, as well as his expeditions to the Pacific Northwest in search of Bigfoot.

Peter Byrne will be speaking about those expeditions, as he was the leader of them. he will be showing photographs from those expeditions.

It will be a busy weekend, for sure. I will be blogging live from the event, so there will be photos, thoughts and opinions posted from San Antonio.

Stay tuned…
