Bob Gimlin to be Special Guest at 2009 Texas Bigfoot Conference

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on September 11th, 2009

The TBRC is delighted to announce the guest appearance at the 2009 Texas Bigfoot Conference of a legendary and distinguished figure: Bob Gimlin of Yakima, WA.

In 1967 Mr. Gimlin and his field partner, Roger Patterson, filmed what may have been a female sasquatch walking along Bluff Creek, located in the Six Rivers National Forest of Northern California. The unprecedented film has been the subject of much controversy as well as intense worldwide scrutiny for more than forty years. Despite having its authenticity challenged repeatedly, no one has been able to cogently demonstrate that the film is illegitimate.

Do not miss out on this singularly rare opportunity to meet this historically significant and extraordinary gentleman.

Conference information and pre-registration available at the TBRC website.

WOW – What a great, once in a lifetime opportunity. To hear the man that was actually there 40 years ago is really special.
I wish I could attend, alas finances and my Boss would not agree. Thanks for the opportunity to post. 🙂

  4. DWA responds:

Man, you done better’n M.K. Davis rasslin’ a greased hawg!

Not to stop you if you’re going for that I mean. (If Ben Radford’s gonna be there you could grease him up.)

This is gonna be a fun time. Looking forward to it.

What an incredible opportunity! I wish I could go! Unfortunately I can’t afford to travel right now. I just spent a ton of money on college tuition and text books. 🙁 Perhaps someone could arrange to upload a podcast to the website…

  6. EastTexan responds:

Wow – this is terrific news. I was planning to attend anyway (it’s only about 30 miles to Tyler from where I live) but this is the icing on the cake. Thanks for the great lineup of speakers and guests for this conference. I’m really looking forward to Mr. Gimlin (and Loren, too).

However, as DWA dropped the hint, M.K. Davis rasslin’ a greased hawg would be mighty entertaining. Maybe next year. Please.

  7. sharonlee0827 responds:

To all who cannot attend, do not fret. I will be covering the conference and getting interviews from as many of the notables as I can!

Keep watching The Bigfoot Field Reporter for TBRC conference updates!
