Hairy Hominoids Killed and Captured

The events in Malaysia are only the latest in a long history in Asia of interactions between humans and unknown hairy hominoids. Often, especially in times of war, the encounters have not been peaceful ones for the “Wild People.” Sometimes these incidents have been covered up for years, due to the military involvements, from regional fighting to the stories we are only recently hearing from the Vietnam War era. Will the future hold more such memoirs from fighting in Afghanistan?
In the meantime, in The Field Guide to Bigfoot and Other Mystery Primates, there are vivid historical examples given in great detail. Here are new Russian illustrations contributed by Dr. Igor Bourtsev of two of these infamous events in the history of hominology.
This is a drawing of an example of the occasional killing of gul’bi-yavan – the Tajik name of the area’s Wild Men – in 1925 in the Pamir mountains. The case was described to the Commission of the Academy of Sciences by KGB General Michael Topilski.
This sketch is of the military doctor Vazgen Karapetyan, an officer in the military service of the Soviet Army, checking on a captured captar (or more often written in English as kaptar) – the local name of their Wild Men – in Daghestan, Caucasus, in 1941, during the war. Karapetyan gave the information about the case also to the same Commission. The military that had captured the Kaptar wanted the doctor to discover if the unknown hairy biped was a disguised spy. His examination found it was not, and he had to depart. Years later, Karapetyan was to hear that it had been killed.

Fascinating! Love to hear more about the Vietnam War era encounters! Makes me think back to that story about the Squatch that was found (rescued?) during a forest fire some years back.

War is a human invention designed to break things and kill people/other humans….and in it path the other creatures of our world must suffer..and some idiot said we were the smarter animal…..
yes what about the creature in the forest fire? How do we find out the true story there?
Hopefully oneday, the bigfoot will get a gun. Revenge is a dish best served cold.
The Russian manape is known as a Almas (Almasty by some) one was meant to have been captured sometime in the past.
Her name was Zana and she had mixed Almas/human offspring which survived down a couple of generations.
I read the full story about a year ago and thought it was worth more investigating.

Graet but sad story for the BF caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Is it any surprise that mankind has killed unknown hominids like it has killed every other known animal? Our track record in this regard is one of slaughter and devastation. So many species driven to extinction by unchecked hunting, it is a no surprise that any surving non human hominids shun us like the plague. I have read more than one story, some mentioned by previous comments, that these creatures throughout the world have been killed in times of war and peace. Let’s hope that if the Malaysian species exists, that is it not destroyed by habitat destruction and hunting, before scientific investigation can take place.
No wonder they hide and don’t want anything to do with us humans anymore. =(
