Bigfoot and the Military

At least twenty military bases in the United States alone have been the setting of strange encounters with hairy, ape-like creatures…

Did I see the Shipton tracks, standing in for another set of supposed tracks?
Well, there are two reasons one might expect this.
1. Military reservations get visited by no one other than military and they are big. (Habitat)
2. Military reservations get visited regularly by military, particularly at night with vision equipment, in heavy vehicles that might stir up some movement, by people who are driven to OBSERVE. (Sightings)
I actually worked for a couple years on a large post in Wisconsin, about 14 years ago now. I recall going into a work site and noted bare footprints in the dust of the dirt road. I remember joking that they were bigfoot prints with the crew, but thinking at the time that it was odd that someone was walking around barefoot on gravelly roads on a military post. The footprints were human-sized for certain, and I don’t think they were anything but that. Still, weird things can hide on a big post. We’d be warned about not going for a jog by yourself in certain areas because there were mountain lion sightings (even though they weren’t supposed to be in the state…).
