Facebook Find Bigfoot Shut Down!
Posted by: Craig Woolheater on April 28th, 2013
Cryptomundian MShelton forwards the following:
Over the last few months, there has been an all out effort to shut down our YT page, book and this FB page via an organized copyright strike campaign by a group of Bigfoot “Researchers”. In spite of Jeff’s noble efforts, YouTube permanently disabled our account yesterday, giving it the death penalty.
Sadly, millions of views, tens of thousands of user comments, 160 videos and thousands of hours of work. All gone. Silenced forever because people hated our initial authentication, research and support for the #2 Camper/Tent videos.
To those skeptics and haters, we have not shut down prior to the April 30th. We are still 100% behind the camper/tent videos. It is a real Sasquatch and we back Rick Dyer’s account 110%.Bigfoot

That really sucks
Yup. ^^
Sad! that’s all there is to say.
Why!??
absolutely ridiculous
Views and user comments aren’t all that important in the long run. About the videos, I must ask why they weren’t backed up? I have a Youtube page, and every video I have posted there I have also on Facebook or on the hard drive of my computer. I can repost any vid I have posted at any time. Where were they edited and uploaded from that they are no longer available? Just my ponderings.
Nice! Finally next their FB page!
What the Hell!?? Copyrights??? Thought all of us where supposed to be working together to bring the big guy to the world. Then we can do something to make sure he’s protected in all 4 corners of the globe.Fighting amongst our selves make Apes look smarter then we are.
i really believe, the united states government, is taking Rick Dyer, under investigation for $$$$ and sending him to prison. Thank God, its just your Rick Dyer, FB and not you.
The “analysis” in those videos was comically idiotic. I will miss mocking them.
I’m a Bigfoot skeptic, but I certainly wouldn’t want any page closed down that actively pursues an answer to researchers interests, it is important that everybody from the scientific community has a chance to evaluate the evidence from whatever validated source, we may disagree about the existence of such creatures, but nobody should be censored.
There seems to be an insinuation that this happened somehow because of us skeptics, naysayers, and party poopers. How ridiculous is this going to become?
I’m surprised no one has called them out on this already. They’re trying to play the victim, when, in all likelihood, it was an accident, or actually caused by them in order to garner sympathy. It’s supposed to make them look right, because the nanny-nanny-boo-boos tried to “silence” them.
C’MON.
This is truly a shame.
Um the youtube was shutdown not FB wtf nice reporting
@Scott Evans, click the link and go to the site and read the post jackass!
Ok i did and it says this. “In spite of Jeff’s noble efforts, YouTube permanently disabled our account yesterday, giving it the death penalty.”
Nothing about the FB page being shutdown? Or am i missing something?
Right, their YouTube account was permanently disabled
I might have some sympathy if Find Bigfoot had actually been productive. But with their overly credulous “analysis” and breathless reporting of known hoaxes as the real thing, they won’t be missed.
Tip for the FB guys: Get some credibility and maybe people would care.
For whatever reason it happened, yet another unnecessary sideshow in a field that is, unfortunately, mostly sideshow at the moment.
I’m gonna miss them too. They were fun. Whatever were the reasons this happened, “silly” is probably a pretty good word to describe them. I’ve spoken many times here about the many different ways, with weapons of all calibers, bigfootery shoots itself, right, there. But I’ve accepted it as inevitable. Stilling voices of whatever stripe for silly reasons certainly doesn’t help the cause of seriousness.
I may be in the minority but IMO hoaxers like Dyer and Biscardi ought to be charged with some sort of fraud as they waste peoples valuable time with lies, and b.s.
William:
Unless there’s a fraud that involves relieving people of their money or property, nobody’s gonna squeeze fraud outta THAT stone.
Besides, when you get right down to it, difficult people are put here to help us grow. Doesn’t require you to thank them for it, luckily.
See FBI says Rick Dyer does not have a Bigfoot body! for news of possible fraud investigation.
I am in agreement with Goodfoot, DWA, Doug Kalemba, Tasha Rody and others here.
Videos like the camper video are laughable. However, they do have educational value as a teaching tool when analyzing real evidence. Even hoaxed and faked videos up our professionalism in separating the wheat from the chaffe.
And even though I cringed at almost all of the videos and comments endorsing them as genuine BF footage, I still believe in Freedom of Speech. So even though I do not like what they are saying, I agree with their right to say it.
However, I believe Timothy Holmes is on to something. If Dyer and Biscardi are involved, and you back the likes of them publicly, you will be deemed by the public as having some culpability. And if Dyer and Biscardi are being investigated for fraud by the FBI, YouTube has every right to protect it’s members from illegal schemes. Just a thought, perhaps that is why YouTube shut everything down and removed every trace of it. If so, thank you YouTube!
I wonder if things like this shutdown and the whole lawsuit fiasco hurt the legitimacy of this field in the eyes of the scientific community and the public. Whatever the case, these things are just so truly sad for the researchers and those of those who have been fascinated by this subject for our entire lives.
Y’all, my opinion is this is no more than FB/FB trying to get out of the corner it has painted itself into with Dyer. In this weird little world of BF media manipulation, these guys have master status. You see, it is always about stringing out the delay of the “reveal” as long as possible, while still maintaining some credibility. Along the way you “tickle” the interest with cryptic releases of information, assurances of legitimacy, NDA requirements, sketches not photos, low rez photos not HD ones….really, it is masterful. You enlist others to carry your brief for you, so your talking points don’t get too stale. Of course, at some point, you must put up or shut up. What to do then? Well, typically they invoke the force majeure clause if you will. THE FBI IS INVESTIGATING US AND WE DENY ANY WRONGDOING BUT THE DOG ATE OUR SASQUATCH CORPSE AND COPYRIGHT LAWYERS ATE THE DOG AND…!!!!
I expect next to hear that the film could not open tonight in Canada because the projector bulb burned out.
I agree that seeing and analyzing phony bigfoot videos is a good tool for sifting the credible from the absurd. Seeing costumed people skulking around the woods is a good water-mark to compare actual bigfoot evidence with…when it shows up. It also can be good fun, like a bad pun will make you groan. As to the “Camping Tent Bigfoot” video, I believe that this is a fake. The image bears a strong resemblance to the Snowman figure in the 1955 Toho film “Half Human”. The high hair-line and general facial aspect are very similar. Google it and see what you think. Some of the close-up, slowed down frames of the video show some possible morphing around the area where the head interacts with the tree as well, leading me to question the video’s validity.
Regarding “Face-Book-Find-Bigfoot”…I found a lot of their “facts” and “evidence” expressed during the playing of videos questionable at best and ridiculous at worst. I guess the aspect I disliked most was the inane, monotone narration of the already captioned video lead-ins. Especially when the narrator who was obviously reading the same copy as shown would trip up on the reading of them.
Although I feel that everyone has the right to express their opinions and also should enjoy whatever the rewards of such expressions may bring them, I have to believe that if You tube has shut the site down…there is probably a good or at least legal reason for doing so.
Oh, wait! We’ll reveal in three months now. The film? Ummmm….what film? We don’t remember no stinkin’ film!
Charlie Foxtrot.
HulkSmashNow:
In the final analysis, WHO CARES what the skeptical community thinks? We really don’t need them, though some THINK we do…
Ploughboy:
Yup. Looks like FBFB is trying to clear the scoreboard and (maybe) start the game all over. What miserable HACKS. They have no shame.
