  1. Peter Von Berg responds:

Thanks for the spooky music. If you hadn’t had it I would have thought the blurry images from a million miles away were yet more of the same hoaxes that we are CONSTANTLY being subjected to. But the spooky music has made me a believer. Oy ! This is getting really really tiresome. Who are these hoaxers ? Stupid teenagers, hillbillies ? Who ? I think I’m just not going to bother to open up these attachments any more.

  2. dconstrukt responds:

lol…. hmmmm… so they can make a nice video about it…. but have zero data on the photos.

    Why not take measurements?

the trail cam is stationary… you can find the EXACT measurements and whatnot.

then we’ll know what height, size the thing is.

  3. DWA responds:

Well, I have seen less interesting stuff pretending that it was more interesting stuff.

But as usual, gang, if there’s no follow-up effort to get more evidence from this location, just another blobsquatch. And I always look askance at an absence of backstory.

  4. dconstrukt responds:

    amen DWA…. amen.

  5. springheeledjack responds:

So are we supposed to assume that whatever it was walked up on the camera near the end photos? OR was that second to last photo someone’s thumb in front of the lens?

Like everyone else, when these kinds of things just show up with no background or info, I take them less than seriously. If you want us to buy in, then give us every detail you can give us: location, times, other evidence in the area, probably heights, you name it.

Otherwise, it just feels like people screwing around with a camera because they’ve got nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon…

  6. DWA responds:

Right, SHJ. What I was saying. If you don’t have quite a bit and I mean pages and pages of backstory, you have really given me nothing.

(Unless you have something of forensic interest. Then, let’s talk.)

No walking the figure’s path to look for hair, tracks, limb breaks, etc.? No discussion of what (camera movement or displacement or other; sign like hair/blood/prints/saliva left on the camera) explains (or might) the “camera messing” photos ? No?

Then here we sit, and we aren’t moving. But better than a blatantly obvious guy in suit, I might give you that.

  7. cryptokellie responds:

Unfortunately, I agree with all of the above. The only extra comment I have is that the head looks a little too much like the standard issue football shaped gorilla head/mask from a generic costume. But, I will say that this kind of game trail set-up should at some point, provide images that will get the ball rolling in the right direction. If Bigfoot are actually out there, they can’t avoid/escape game trail cams forever.

  8. eyeofstrm responds:

I’m sold, especially in the last photo where it turns and looks at the camera. I don’t understand how this crap makes it on here.

  9. Goodfoot responds:

cryptokellie: Yeah, they can. That’s their living room. If someone snuck into your house and moved a picture on the wall, you’d notice. So do they. That’s why there’re no good (trailcam) photos of Bigfoots, and probably why there never will be.

eyeofstrm: Craig puts those on here just because he likes seeing you get upset.

I’m joking. Seeing these bad examples hones our acumen for what’s ahead of us. It’s not there as a personal affront to anyone, so I can’t understand why people take it that way.

  10. cryptokellie responds:

    Goodfoot;
A modicum of stealth installation, especially outdoors, would be undetectable by any animal or human for that matter. As for the living room comparison, a firm that provides security for high risk venture companies could install a video surveillance system in your house while you were on vacation and you would never know that it was there or operating when you returned. High tech security surveillance systems, for those who can afford it, are readily available.
But back to Bigfoot and the supposed powers of recognition that in all probability it doesn’t have. Think of all the very secretive and seldom seen animals that have images captured on trial cams including gorillas and chimpanzees not to mention the images of all the people doing all kinds of things they shouldn’t be. It seems to me that you are ascribing a power to Bigfoot that enables it detect technology and avoid it – a power lacking in other forms of life on the planet…very doubtful in the extreme. Enabled with such a power, why would a Bigfoot allow itself to be seen at anytime at all – no less leave giant footprints and other types of supposed evidence around for all to see. If Bigfoot really does exist, one will cross the path of a well placed image system sooner or later.

  11. Fhqwhgads responds:

    1. Actually, I think this would have made a good trailer for a movie. Give it a title like “The Fort Mountain Bugger” and we’d all probably see it, even though it would inevitably be just another stupid found footage movie.
    2. I agree with cryptokellie’s point. If Bigfoot is some sort of paranormal entity like some believe, all bets are off, but if he’s a flesh-and-blood animal with most of the same habits as a bear, his ability to avoid detection should be similar to that of a bear, or gorilla, or indigenous human.
