About Craig Woolheater
Co-founder of Cryptomundo in 2005.
I have appeared in or contributed to the following TV programs, documentaries and films:
OLN's Mysterious Encounters: "Caddo Critter", Southern Fried Bigfoot, Travel Channel's Weird Travels: "Bigfoot", History Channel's MonsterQuest: "Swamp Stalker", The Wild Man of the Navidad, Destination America's Monsters and Mysteries in America: Texas Terror - Lake Worth Monster, Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot: Return to Boggy Creek and Beast of the Bayou.
Another killer bigfoot movie with special effects addons…WOW.
I missed the first showing, will have to catch it later. I am moved to ask, given my experience with SyFy movies, “Is the ‘Snowman’ in the title really necessary?”
I just watched the local news – ABC7 …about a Bigfoot recording….and as usual the ridicule was abundant. Why report on Bigfoot at all? Stop the hate man! ;p
The creatures in this movie looked more like deformed bears than the traditional appearance of the Abominable Snowman or Yet. Also, that they appeared in the US made no sense. They did not resemble a Sasquatch at all. Also, they were described in the movie as over 8 feet tall and 600 pounds or more but looked a lot bigger than that. Also, I thought it funny the one guy who was the romantic interest somehow survived when the thing was bearing down on him (which is not seen) but he apparently threw a grenade which started a landslide which he somehow managed to avoid despite being unable to move with a broken foot or leg! His explanation was so lame in that he claimed the ABSM saw him holding the grenade and stopped his charge as if they would know what it was!!!
Dr. Kacos comment about the news folks they all seem to get giggles when talking about big foot sounds or sightings. In reference to the syfy movie I wonder what the people are thinking when making this stuff up. I also have not seen one yet that looks “real” except in one film and the experts call it a hoax .hmmmmm
“Rage of the Yeti” was much better…Acting, storline, characters etc.
But, the same CGI company musta done the FX-the Yeren (as they called them) were almost identical to the Abominable Snowmen, except white, and had sharper teeth.
It’s amazing to me that they spend tons of money on the locations actors, cameras, equipment, costuming, props, score etc…and then they let you down with TERRIBLE cartooney looking FX animation.
And Sci-Fi network always shows you the monster in their films within the first 5 minutes! What-up wit dat?! Suspense and build up is a lost art I guess.
