This song was written and performed by an unsigned band from the ancient mountains of western North Carolina that go by the name of IceHorse.

We are also huge fans of the CryptoMundo site and check it daily to find the latest updates in the world of cryptozoology.
IceHorse would love you to feature our song on cryptomundo.com. Keep up the good work, for new discoveries are always just around the corner. I’m still waiting on proof that mountain lions still roam and roar in hidden coves in the southern Appalachians.
My personal interest in Cryptozoology began when I was a kid and my brothers would scare me with stories of bigfoot. Eventually I grew out of my fear, and with the help of the Rudolf Christmas Special, learned to love cryptids starting with the Abominable Snowman.IceHorse

Hmm. Maybe you should make it a contest. 🙂
Catchy tune —which is ironic, considering it’s a song about cryptids 😉
I can’t get it to download, it just opens another tab with the song playing.
Love it!
I’m surprised there aren’t more songs about cryptids out there. My band does a couple of songs about Sasquatch (“Plaster Casts” and “Old Growth”) and a band from Calgary called Chixdiggit does one called “Chupacabra” but other than that they’re pretty sparse. On a related note, there are also several bands with cryptid names, ie. Mothman, Kraken, Sasquatch and Chupacabra.
I agree with Alton that you should make an annual contest, to look for the best song about cryptids.
The name of the contest —of course— Abominable Idol 😛
I had issues also playing the IceHorse tune, but think the AbomIdol contest is a splendid idea! I loved the Hairy Man song!
Catchy tune. Best of luck to IceHorse and Success.
I use a Windows PC, and I don’t quicktime to hijack my computer, so is there an mp3 or wav audio option I could listen to?
Bravo!!! Weird Al couldn’t have penned better lyrics, I really enjoyed that…and the Abomi-Idol idea.
