When Sasquatch Speaks

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on May 7th, 2013

Nick tackled a similar subject just a few days ago here: When Bigfoot Talks (Kind Of)

Extremely rare Sasquatch audio recorded May 3rd 2013.

Audio of this calibre is extremely difficult to obtain. It’s taken 7 months of persistence and a non evasive approach to build up trust to a level that this family of sasquatch feel is comfortable enough to let us hear their voices.

The first night of the year spent in a tent has given what is now my third vocal incident in close to 5 years. This is 10X my previous experiences.

My first vocal encounter in 2008 changed my life. Some wonder how a vocalization in a forest can have such a profound effect. I believe these recordings will answer that question.

As the owner and myself had another night of close interactions that have progressed with each visit, the late night gave way to some of the best recorded vocal evidence captured to date.

When you hear the voice of the sasquatch people, there’s no mistaking it. It has a life altering and deeply profound effect.

We hope future investigations will provide more insight into this incredible species. They’re not apes. Sasquatch are highly intelligent people that need protection from those who wish to hunt or harm them. This is a species unlike any other that deserves protection and the highest respect.

Special thanks to the property owner for his help with the audio contribution!Sasquatch Ontario

While I personally take this audio with a grain of salt, it’s intriguing nonetheless. πŸ™‚

  2. Steve Schaper via Facebook responds:

If this isn’t bogus, get Jane Goodall and some other specialists who know how to do fieldwork in to confirm. I’d bet on it being bogus. That seems to be the safe bet with these things.

  3. Ken Morrison via Facebook responds:

OK, he set up a “gift tree” with snacks and stuff, which they came and eat, why the HELL didn’t he have a camera set on it???? Is he just stupid, or under funded???

  4. Ken Morrison via Facebook responds:

I will admit, the audio is compelling however

  5. Ken Morrison via Facebook responds:

akso, was that a “squatch” burp?

  6. AlyoshaK responds:

I find this fairly interesting. If the sasquatch are real, I have always thought that they must be a type of human, endowed with a set of abilities that makes technology almost redundant. They have also noticed that Homo Sapiens Sapiens tends to kill all other human subtypes. Could a man make these voices? Yeah, I think a man could, but it would be difficult. I don’t believe this video to be fabricated.

  7. Adam Prawlocki via Facebook responds:

Interesting. Unfortunately I heard nothing in there, including the belch, that I as a bass-voiced man could not produce.

  8. Peter Von Berg responds:

Oh come on. Obviously human making those sounds. I love it when he burped to try to produce some kind of animal sound

  9. semillama responds:

I agree it’s intriguing, but also I heard nothing that was outside the range of human vocalizations. Nothing suggested anything to me that would put this as unassailable evidence for the existence of the creature, and also nothing in the video/audio was anything that I couldn’t see being done by a human (throwing rocks, making noise) in imitation of what we expect a Sasquatch to do.

  10. Aaron Fernandes via Facebook responds:

    Incredible!

  11. Jamey Hoff via Facebook responds:

call me naive but it doesn’t sound like this guy is reciting a script or telling a story anything other than a real experience. those vocalizations definitely have a unique “andre the giant” quality to them. i say legit

  12. chewbaccalacca responds:

An expert audio/voice analysis would settle the matter handily whether it’s human or not.

  13. Ragnar responds:

    Its interesting, but . . .

    1. I would appreciate some kind of time references in the article so I can fast forward and listen to the calls. I don’t really want to spend 7 or 8 minutes listening to the guy with the camera talk to himself.

    2. OK, they are throwing rocks and stuff. Throw a small rock or two back. Establish some kind of communication.

    3. Several references to the “gift tree”, but not a word or a camera shot of what is being left at the tree, nor when he says half the stuff is already gone do we see a camera shot of the tree. Makes me wonder.

  14. William responds:

A couple of comments. I agree with the other comments about the vocalizations – a human could have made them – in fact, a couple of times it sounded like the voice was saying “rock.” Kind of convenient when that is what the author is claiming was thrown at them. However, nobody yet has commented on the track photos. Some of them were even in snow. What do any tracking experts think? Dr. Meldrum do you ever read this site??

I would love to read his or Loren Coleman’s comments on the track photos. If they appear legitimate it would seem to aid the vocalizations as possibly being real.

  15. Jeff_Schmidt responds:

The track photos I think, while some just aren’t different enough in size or shape than a human, are much more compelling than the “hand prints” in this video. There, at least to me, are CLEAR signs that they were drawn on by finger. The gaps and “two sides” to each finger, plus when he zooms in you can see the mark from the finger lifting up before being completely done moving. Now, this could be a sasquatch drawing a handprint to either imitate a human’s print or to mislead an investigator, but let’s be realistic. It’s much more plausible that the prints are hoaxed.

The vocalizations, while may possibly be made by a human, are still intriguing none the less.

  16. PoeticsOfBigfoot responds:

“He knows the camera is running.”

Really? Does that imply he knows what a camera is? That seems like the kind of small slip I would expect from a hoaxer. Plus, it kind of sounded like Tim Allen to me.

  17. Mokele-Mbembe responds:

It is possible the hand prints are faked as Jeff points out, but they didnt look so clearly faked to me. They are about 11 3/4 inches in length (guy says 12″) which is quite compelling since shaq doesn’t even have 10 inch hands (length 9.5 according to inside hoops, an NBA forum) and he is seven feet tall. In fact most basketball players have hands in the 9 inch range, kobe bryant’s are 9.5. The longest hands I have found are those of Rob Gronkowski from the New England Patriots at 10 3/4 inches (he is 6’5″ tall) and I’m pretty sure everyone who has watched him knows his hands are massive, even for his size. If the hand print is real and nearly a foot in length, this creature could be massive, 7.5-8.5 feet tall, if it has human like features. If bigfoot is ape like though, it could have very long hands and not be as tall (see gorilla). The audio was interesting too because even though the sounds can be made by a human, isn’t that what some of us would expect? I dont want to cause an argument of bigfoot being more ape or more human, but if bigfoot are human like, or even a close hybridization, wouldnt the vocal cords be the same?

  18. edsbigfoot responds:

Awesome. Whitley Strieber had a gentleman on a few months back who had collected vocalizations from the Siearra’s in the ’70’s and ’80’s…these sound pretty similar…that could mean its real or someone has heard those and is copying them. πŸ™‚ Cool none the less! “)

  19. hoodoorocket responds:

Do Canadians know what a snipe hunt is? It sure looks like the narrator has been taken on one.

Also is it my imagination or is the cookie monster puking canadian lager everywhere out side the tent?

I guess bigfoot could speak english, but actually learning english picked up from whispering canadians and then magically belching it out in a tortured manner is hard to swallow. If it were a matter of mimicry, I would expect exactly that- eerily accurate reproduction with no indication of understanding the language.

I’m really NOT a skeptic, but lately I sure sound like one. Going to have to watch the patterson film again to re-open my mind.

The hand prints are inconclusive, and the pattern left behind can in no way indicate the size of the hand. Fingertips were pushed forward and then dragged back. In the first hand print shown there is no palm print, but several thumb prints that suggest a palm.

The second hand print shown is obscured by the tape measure but shows fingers pushing up and back and two overlapping palm prints. Could be bigfoot, could be puking drunk cookie monster.

Hand print in snow has horizontal wrinkles at the heel of the palm. Is bigfoot wearing gloves, or again, is this where cookie monster was on the ground puking, because gloves or cookie monster hands are the two obvious indications.

Footprints are interesting but they seem to be quite an assortment of human feet and more bigfooty feet. Stride does not seem to be very long. Posture of side by side footprints indicates a very narrow hip (human child or human woman). Some bigfooty prints look “right” others look experimental with possible multiple impressions. Shapes are not very consistent. There might even be one in the frosty mud that is a double bear print.

If only the best footprints were shown, I would be impressed. I think they were way too ambitious, but they seem like fun guys, so sign me up for the next outing. I am willing to be the one to throw the stones and puke on the tent at the next snipe hunt if they provide the lager.

Finally, what the hell are those hippy trinkets at the end? Are they what the canadians put on the bigfoot christmas tree, or is it what bigfoot was selling at the bigfoot concession stand? I’m thinking they are a good indication of the bored human child or woman that made most of the footprints.

  20. Raiderpithicusblaci responds:

@PoeticsOfBigfoot: I belive these creatures may be able to hear the cameras whirring, see perfectly in the dark, and quite possibly smell the camera itself. @Mokele Mbembe: The voice box of a huge bipedal primate would undoubtedly be much larger and more complex than that of even an abnormally large human. The vocalizations i heard in the redwoods in ’77 were different than these, but so loud they made my eyes hurt and my organs vibrate….indeed it was terrifying. Are these recordings authentic? I dont know; but i do so enjoy us all getting together like this.

  21. springheeledjack responds:

While intriguing, you always have to rule out the hoax, and there’s no way to do that here. Sad, but it’s the present state of affairs–especially with Youtube at the helm.

To me the belch could go either way. Personally, if I was hoaxing I certainly wouldn’t have included a belch. I wouldn’t expect a more primal critter to contain a belch or otherwise consider it rude or funny–just a natural body function, and in this there’s audio it sounds like a naturally occurring belch.

I’ve listened to some of the “samurai” chatter and this is reminiscent of that (that stuff actually creeps me out worse than the howls or calls). However, I didn’t hear anything that couldn’t have been duplicated by a human (of course, if we’re dealing with a primate or hominid there could be a reason for that), and there was plenty of off camera space for a whole group of hoaxers to be in the wings.

    Grain of salt indeed.

  22. Ploughboy responds:

If Bigfoot walks the earth, this is probably what it sounds like. I’ll defer to those who have heard them in context and vouch for how they sound. Eerily similar to the “tractor shed” recordings out of MS, of some kind of baritone animal sounding all the world like he is impersonating someone talking “baby talk” to a dog named “Buddy.”

“Rock” is obviously a word this putative Squatch might have heard repeatedly from the humans it was throwing rocks at. What should it say if it were trying to imitate the babbling humans? “Deferred interest income carried over from the prior tax year,” maybe?

    Intriguing.

  23. William responds:

I agree with everyone here. Some of the tracks looked very realisitic and some like Ray Wallace feet, only smaller. I agree that those didn’t seem wide enough apart either. So to me, if some were fakes (as I also believe the handprints were) that calls the entire thing into question. Sorry…

  24. chadgatlin responds:

Sorry, but I don’t buy it at all. Supposedly the creature knew the camera was running and was therefore keeping a distance. And they had to get in the tent and hide I guess to make it come out. But then, once the creature does come in, it decides to make loud vocalizations and announce its presence? Most of the sounds are either imitations of the Sierra Sounds in my opinion, or a mixture of imitations and actual clips from the Sierra Sounds.

The rock throwing sounds sort of remind me of that old show “Most Haunted” where they would get pebbles thrown at them and then try to communicate with whatever it was. They would also say stuff and then say that whatever it was understood and was communicating.

As for the hand print, I just can’t understand why something around 8 feet tall would decide to bend all the down to a headlight of a compact car and wipe his hand. Maybe more context would explain this, but I can’t see it right now.

The footprints? Who knows…could be just some images swiped on Google for all we know. One of the snow prints is very reminiscent of the first yeti print found in the Himalayas. There isn’t any consistency among the prints though. Its hard to imagine that they would all be from the same animals in the same region. I don’t think human footprints show that much diversity.

    Conclusion?

No idea, but bigfoot is always fun to talk about, read about, or watch videos and listen to audio about.

  25. G. de La Hoya responds:

“He put his hand on my car. I was trying to get him to do this tonight and he did it.”

Mr. Rogers could have tried to get Foot to sing and dance Puttin on the Ritz. That, I would have believed.

  26. gridbug responds:

Personally, I think it’s folly to categorize Bigfoot into the “dumb animal” category e.g. “how does it know what a camera is” etc. By many accounts (and if you follow the conjecture through to its logical conclusion, assuming of course that these creatures are real) there is no reason to believe that this ISN’T is a clever, intelligent being who has, over several lifetimes, come to recognize the tools and weapons of the hairless apes. Vocalizations like the samurai chatter and other non-howl and scream type lends credence to the idea that Bigfoot does in fact have its own language, however nondescript that may be. So much of what makes this creature tick is still a mystery, why wouldn’t it use some rudimentary form of speech? Hell, there have even been reports of Bigfoot using telepathy to communicate with humans, so I’m willing to accept that all bets are off until we know for sure what’s what.
