Sagami Sea Monster?

According to Mark Frauenfelder at Boing Boing, we learn that “cameras aboard JAMSTEC’s Hyper-Dolphin ROV have captured footage of something strange lurking on the floor of Sagami Bay, southwest of Tokyo.”

Reminds me of something out of Star Wars.
Of course the video footage fades out as the camera approaches the strange form. To me, it looked too inanimate like a piece of man-made debris that sunk to the bottom and took on a strange appearance. You can definitely see that the object is covered in sediment.
Oh now I can’t believe that I’m not the one that found and posted this! I thought I was supposed to be the one on top of the Japanese cryptid stuff. 😉
To be honest, it looks like a rocky outcrop to me. With perhaps some shells on it.
It’s an artifact on the seabed, sitting solidly in a dip where the current has scoured away the surrounding material. Two “somethings” just happen to be in the right place to appear to be eyes. It doesn’t move, it doesn’t breathe, there appear to be no gill movements. I could be totally wrong, but I do not think it is an animal.
Looks suspiciously like a ventilator from a big boat to me.
I would not want to be crusing aroung the bottom and slowly watch that thing come into veiw!? Creeepy, but definately a rock with some nicely placed shells……..
whatever it is, it was freaky. it looks like it has eyes. just the way it faded in. i was hoping it moved or darted some opposite direction. i can dream rite.. lol
Nothing alive or interesting, just a piece of junk lying on the bottom of the bay.
