Remember Beard Card?

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on October 9th, 2013

Provo Canyon Bigfoot eyewitness and videographer Beard Card is back!

Originally published to YouTube on October 30, 2012, the video has garnered over 7 million views to date.

We cussed and discussed this video quite a bit last year here on Cryptomundo (I’ll list all of the links below).

One thing that we didn’t talk about, was that apparently one day after the video was uploaded to YouTube, there was an e-book published and available on Amazon.com.

Though this is in fiction, it is a true story.
I went camping with my siblings and my sister in law earlier this week. While camping we encountered a creature. At first we thought it was a bear, but after watching the video footage that we got, it may have been Bigfoot.

It is hard to think about the experience without getting chills. But I had to record the event while it was fresh in my mind. This is the true story of our bear, Bigfoot, or Sasquatch encounter.

I am still not sure what exactly it was. Bigfoot sighting? Bear? I am just glad we are all safe.

Well, last week, the Cryptomundo twitter feed was followed by one Beard Card.

Not having heard anything in almost a year about the Provo Canyon sighting and video, on October 6 I asked Beard Card:

So what’s going on with the Provo Canyon Bigfoot?

Last night, Beard Card responded:

Hi, We have launched a Kickstarter to find out what it was we saw and to find Bigfoot in Utah!

We would love any support, coverage and help that Cryptomundo could give us in spreading the word! Let us know if you have any questions!

smells to much like a moneymaking event… you just happen to see it, film it and release a book on amazon…Biscardi would be proud…

I checked out the old post of the stabilized version of this. Somehow I missed that one. Interesting.

I recall the post with the series of still images with the inexplicable 3D pics. The still images showed oak leaves were responsible for what appeared to be the space between the “torso” and the “arms”.

What is interesting to me when I see the stabilized version is when the subject rises it becomes clear this is not a bear. It has a definition of head and shoulders that is manlike (bigfootlike?).

More telling is that at the end of the motion of rising it “hefts” its shoulders, that is, it gives a slight jump/shrug, bringing its elbows up and back (it appears to be facing up hill). This is very un-bearlike too. It is a bipedal move of adjusting weight and stance when first getting to ones feet from a position of unbalance. This could be the natural movement of a heavy bigfoot rising, or it could be the natural movement of a man in a heavy costume rising.

So after seeing the stabilized version, I change my old guess of 50/50 bear/unknown, to a 3 way split between man/bigfoot/unknown.

Hmm, not only does my opinion remain the same as I stated on October 31, 2012, it is reinforced with their current update.

Back in 2012, I listed over 5 red flags that made this video suspect. All of those flags still stand. And it has become apparent, by their current video, they have reinforced those flags.

Now, they are appealing to KickStarter. Hey, if I were a teenager, I would think that is the perfect venue for them to make some easy money and travel. I bet they talked it over with their friends when they received some attention from this initially. In fact, they even show their cards in the video when they brag about the television stations and news outlets contacting them. Although they try to remain stoic, you can see the thrill in their faces and hear the excitement in their voices. They love the attention!

The above paragraph tells me they are doing this for reasons other than looking for Bigfoot. And one can also tell that these kids watch Finding Bigfoot. They are actually modelling their project almost scetch for scetch on how that show is produced. That tells me they have been watching for a while.

And the new red flag for me comes from their mouths directly. In the original video, they act terrified when they see the subject get up. Although initially, they moved towards what they thought was a bear. Isn’t that convenient? We are scared of bears and we think this is a bear but we are going to approach it and get much closer. That is a contradiction and red flag in itself. But the new red flag is in this current video, they say they were afraid but now they are going to actively go out and seek a Bigfoot? Sure, they are! Sure they were scared! LOL They were so scared initially, that they have not been up to that same spot since the sighting but that fright is not stopping them now from actively persuing Bigfoot since potential KickStarter money may be forthcoming. LOL Seriously, what a load of crap, and contradictory crap at that!

Last but not least, what makes these kids Bigfoot investigators? Oh yes, a simple camping trip where they hoaxed a video, now make them experts for their own TV show or web show.

    Hysterical!

They’re obviously hoping that they too can be rewarded with their own reality show – one that requires no more work than stomping through the woods for several hours and yelling “squatch!” at every broken twig.

“Cut! That’s a wrap! Let’s hit the steakhouse and sign some autographs!” $$$$$$$$

  5. baccuss123 responds:

The problem I have with this one is.
    1. If they actually published a book 24 hour later. Well=fake.
But if they just listed said e-book within 24 hours and did not write or send it. Could give then something to work with.
    2. I know the spot very very well, I used to take my jeep there to make out with my GF when I was 17. It’s very easy to get to and maybe 3-10 minutes from 2 main roads. But a gorgeous view of the valley.
    3. For the sasquatch to run away / escape it would have to climb 5000′ feet in 1/4 to 1/2 mile. Insane by anyone’s estimation.

I personally think this is a fake sighting. But then my nephew took pictures of a 19″ track in the snow not 10 miles from this spot.
    So who knows.

    cheers
