OK, I must give credit where credit is due. This is the first video I have seen ThinkerThunker analyze without immediately jumping to the conclusion that the subject of the video is a BF.
He even stated that he did not know if it was a costume or not but leans toward it being fur. Everybody has an opinion and his is valid there. I agree with him on the fur explanation. Animals tend to take care of themselves when it comes to cleanliness.
He did a pretty decent job on this one and so, I’ll give him credit. Nicely done!
The first impression I got from this series of photos is that, if that red thing is a zipper, then the hoaxers have to be really dumb. After spending all of that time constructing such an elaborate costume why would they leave a zipper exposed? They surely could see it and then re-shoot photos after hiding the zipper. As I was viewing this series, put together by Thinker Thunker, I thought maybe it was a ribbon tied around hair. Sure enough at the end of the video Thinker Thunker came to the same possible explanation.

There is always a common mistake on our part to assume that “hoaxes” start out as elaborate labor intensive efforts. This is rarely the case. It is most often an opportunistic effort after the fact. It is most likely that this is a mundane shot of someone walking through trees that was labeled as bigfoot after the fact.
Occam’s razor asks us to dismiss the simplest possibility before moving on to more fantastic ones.
If we accept that this is Siberia, or almost any inhabited place of that latitude, then why can’t this be a person walking in the snow, wearing a bear skin jacket with a bear skin hat or hood trimmed with a longer fur, such as horse, yak, or sheep. I say bear skin, because that is what it looks like, but it could be any type of fur that is short and dense. This scenario is not a great leap of the imagination and the long trim is common for that region, particularly, but not exclusively, among indigenous people.
If such is the case the red tag is likely ornamentation of the coat or a glimpse of the under layers of clothing.
Just my two cents.
Looking about, I see reindeer skin can be dark brown, which might be a better candidate than bear skin.
…After thinking about it, nah, I’ll stick with bear skin.
I know this is an old post, but I finally had a chance to watch this with sound tonight.
The relevant thing I noticed was two of the frames he sequenced and lightened, around the 2:45 mark, plainly show the skinned face of the bear on the bearskin hat.
The fringe on a bear cape is common to shamans and animistic hunters around the world to keep your prey (or animistic spirits) from seeing your real face. You just tit your head to the ground to present the bear mask.
