Aboriginal Perspective of the Yowie

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on September 1st, 2014

Yowie Sighting at Mingela & Palm Island, Queensland

An interesting recollection of experiences of both the larger Yowie and small hairy men, with an Aboriginal POV of the creatures at Mingela (between Townsville & Charters Towers) and Palm Island (North East of Townsville).

The story of the small hairy men is yet another reference to them being “Mischievous”. The native name for the Yowie on Palm Island is apparently ‘Joogabina’.

The audio is poor due to background noise, made harder by a slight Aboriginal accent.

Another interesting Aboriginal perspective.
