Berry Pickers Spy Bigfoot
Posted by: Craig Woolheater on August 30th, 2013
On Saturday, August 3rd, 2013, a family from Bethel witnessed a very tall, black colored creature walking upright while they were out picking berries.
The family of three – the dad and mom and their young daughter – were out on the Penguq River near the village of Napakiak. The creature was walking on the winter Napakiak-Atmautluak Trail when the family saw it. The dad saw it first and pointed it out to his wife when she got closer to where he was picking berries.
“Look honey, do you see that?” he asked. “Yes, I see it! Ila-i, it looks so black and huge,” said the wife.
While they were observing it, the creature crouched down when an airplane flew overhead. The being then walked down a rise in the tundra.
The sight of the creature scared the mother and daughter so they started heading back to their boat.
“We were so scared,” said the mom. “It was so black and tall.”

At a mile away, this isn’t what anyone would call a quality or high-value encounter.
i could see them eating berries based on time of year….. wouldn’t be surprised if you did an overlay of the time of year berries are ready to eat and the sightings… if you’d find a correlation.
Please excuse simplistic critical thinking.
First paragraph, “family from Bethel…”
Next paragraph claims the sighting took place in the Alaskan arctic.
Website is Delta Discovery, Bethel, AK!

The most intriguing thing about this is the witnesses describing the Bigfoot as ducking down when the play flew over. I have always wondered why Bigfoot weren’t spotted once in a while by bush pilot, especially in Alaska where that is how you mostly get around. This also indicates the level of intelligence they have. Much smarter than just an “ape” as some people seem to classify them.
Nowhere did anyone in the article say that the being was eating berries. They, the witnesses, were picking berries. Seen at a distance of one mile?
Seriously, 5,000 feet. Go to Google and look at what can be seen from the top of the Empire State Building to the ground directly below and that is only 1,200 feet away. The people are not much more than specks, I know because I went to the observation deck when I was in school in New York years ago. Over open terrain, even tundra, and at more than 4 times the distance, the witnesses wouldn’t be able determine much of anything – no less a Bigfoot. Maybe the fact that they had binoculars with them was left out of the article, but I doubt it. Then there is the drawing with all that beautiful Bigfoot detailing – as seen from a mile away…they must be eating a lot of carrots along with the berries.
