Episode 20: Minerva Monster Day
It’s one thing to see a really cool movie; it’s another thing when that movie is produced by your friends. That was the situation we encountered on on June 6, 2015, which was designated Minerva Monster Day in Minerva, Ohio, and most of the town turned out to see it!
In this episode we provide a comprehensive recap of the day’s activities. Mark talks to Monster Artist Matt Harris about where “Minerva Monster” belongs in the realm of Sasquatch Cinema.
Marc DeWerth comments on the origins of the “Grassman” moniker.
Mark speaks with tabletop game creator Bryan Borgman about “Kaiju Kaos” and his interest in cryptids.
You’ll hear from the Small Town Monsters production team along with Barbara (Mudrak) Galloway, the Akron Beacon Journal reporter who broke the Minerva case back in 1978.
Andy interviews the composer of the “Minerva Monster” soundtrack, Brandon Dalo, from an undisclosed location high above the Roxy Theater.
