This Wednesday, July 12th, is my birthday. I’m planning now for a big cryptozoology party in 2007, for my 60th (which feels really young to me, of course).

Therefore, today, I am going to get personal, and publish my wish list a year ahead of time (you know, beyond good health and wellness wishes for my sons, friends, former lovers, family, and all Cryptomundo readers).

Anyway, onward to a fun collecting of my thoughts in many directions…for my…

2007 Wish List

1. Witness the discovery of a remarkable (as opposed to mundane?) unknown bipedal hominoid, such as Sasquatch, Orang Pendek, or Yeti.

2. Have concrete physical evidence obtained of Nessie, Champ, or another Lake Monster, that demonstrates DNA uniqueness.

3. Find a firm location that wishes to freely house my cz collection, the future expanded cryptozoology museum, through a working partnership with an organization in Portland, Maine.

4. See the publication of a dozen more excellent cryptozoology books, beyond my own, of course.

5. Experience the full development of several ideas bouncing around in my head. And get contracts or consulting agreements for them, so I don’t have to ask so many of my friends for bridge loans, all the time. 🙂

6. Meet more future cryptozoologists at several conferences, including finding sponsorship for a trip to talk at the 2007 Australian cryptozoology conference.

7. Continue to communicate the best in cryptozoology news via Cryptomundo, with new bloggers, associates, and readers.

8. Obtain a free Yeti Skoda to drive around and promote, even if it has to have an Abominable Snowman painted on its side. (I love my old station wagon, but it is beginning to crumble as it passes the decade mark.)

9. Make it to Alaska, thus completing my goal of visiting all 50 of the states of the USA.

10. Finally, be surprised and remain passionate about all my quests.

BTW, for those that asked, here’s my address:

Everyone have a great week. My thanks to all of my new friends I’ve met through Cryptomundo for already making it a good year.

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

DUDE! That’s weird. I think the 12th might be a pretty common birthday. !^:?

I was recently on a train in New York, going past the Hudson, when I saw a black lump, not unlike the shape of the top of a Tanystropheid’s skull move SE in the water and then submerge. It was black and I think I saw eyes near the front. (No Pic) :.(
