Every year over the Labor Day weekend the Bigfoot Capital of the World, Willow Creek, California, celebrates the town’s community and the icon that has made a name for it during Bigfoot Days. This year is the fifty-first anniversary of the event.

On Saturday, July 9, Fireman Dan’s Sports Lounge in Sussex, NJ will host the first ever Festival of the Big Red Eye. This outdoor event is designed to entertain and inform the world of a Bigfoot type creature that has been known to roam the hills of northern New Jersey. The day will be celebrated with live music, great food, vendors, speakers, and special guests. A documentary film crew, working on an upcoming release, will be on site and Weird NJ will lend a hairy hand for the day’s festivities.

What initially looked very intriguing when displayed at an angle, doesn’t look so interesting when viewed head on.

When viewed head on, the “Bigfoot” facial smudge looks very much like a bear.
