I am sticking my neck out where I normally don’t put it, making matter of fact statements towards a positive conclusion, but think this story (the whole story) has some very convincing elements that put it up there with the best of the very best in the annals of evidence towards the truth about Bigfoot’s existence. I will discuss the normally pointed out shortcomings of the evidence on film and Paul himself and why I think they are wrong, at least in how they came to their conclusions. In the end I will show why I believe at the very least if this is a hoax, Paul himself may have been the intended party, which in my mind being unlikely, makes his video much more likely the real deal.

As many of you know I am a skeptic. Or maybe I should say skeptical in that I filter everything and come to conclusions based on certain criteria that evidence must have in order for me to entertain it. I also take the approach in a philosophical manner as I try and explain sometimes our collective need for creatures that go bump in the night and the mysterious. I do believe, even if there is no such thing as Sasquatch we would have created him (or something like him) as therapy for our own questions of the unknown, our fears and just our own desires to tell stories in colorful ways. Luckily though I think there may really be something out there, but as things are, our hobby is riffled with bad science, bad evidence and even worse people and that is why many in the mainstream discount and even scoff at the whole notion.

Why do some people try to pull the wool over other’s eyes? I think there are many reasons and to name a few, there is to push an agenda, to gain notoriety and to make a buck. Some of course are just for fun as well, so not all hoaxers come from the same mold, but those who deliberately misinform to gain a profit of some kind, we should try and peer inside their heads.

Programme discusses Russia – its size and the fact that it’s the largest country on the planet. 6,000 miles E to W. They talk about the fact that the Russians theorize that the Almasti is a surviving human-like ancestor – maybe even Neanderthal. There have been thousands of sightings across Russia. The Almasti is described as human-like, 5-7 feet hight 200-400lbs in weight and hairy with coloration from red to beige, from brown to black.
