His eye witness encounter actually occurred while on high explosives training for his combat engineering battalion in the rain forest of Oregon’s coast range in 1993. And the sighting was corroborated by three fellow soldiers who had witnessed the creatures as well. Over the next 20+ years Todd would use his training and experience to research these creatures. Tonight I have joining me, Jesus Payan. He is a researcher of all things Fortean, and has been doing so, for over 20 years. He had experiences when he was young that drove him to search in Europe and all over North America for things unknown. He is a member of Kryder Exploration and Crypto Four Corners, and has been chosen as a field researcher for The Falcon Project. Jesus recently had an up-close sighting of a Sasquatch and will be sharing that story for the first time tonight.

Tonight we’ll be discussing the upcoming documentary movie about Ohio’s Minerva Monster with director Seth Breedlove, producers Jesse Morgan and Alan Megargle, and the head of the Ohio based Genoskwa Project, researcher Paul Hayes.

In August of 1978 a small town in eastern Ohio was thrust into the spotlight when a local family sighted a “monster” in the woods behind their home. Over subsequent evenings they were repeatedly visited by the creature culminating in a late-night encounter that ended in local police being called in. The story blasted onto the front pages of newspapers across the state and into the consciousness of a nation. For weeks police, news crews, and scores of hunters descended on the town of Minerva with one common goal; to find the beast.

On this edition of Show Notes, I will be joined by Erik Steven Garcia. He has a BA in Anthropology, and has training in archaeology and faunal remains identification. He has had some interesting experiences that have gotten him interested in the subject of Sasquatch. His research is based primarily in California and New Mexico, but has also visited AZ, NV, and UT for purposes of studying these elusive creatures.

The Falcon Project is preparing to launch (both figuratively and literally). William Allen Barnes is the project founder and manager, with over 25 years experience operating his own businesses, including gold dredging and marketing. Managing businesses with attention to detail, and getting the job done with the necessary resources, has given him the ability to create successful projects. Barnes had an encounter with a sasquatch in 1997, and is motivated by the challenge of bringing definitive film evidence before the scientific community for the purpose of finally resolving the mystery of sasquatch. Upon discovery, Barnes would like the Falcon Project to provide the basis for further study of the species’ behavior in its natural habitat and for securing their protection in the future.
