Metal detecting enthusiast finds interesting trackway on the Chena river.
metal detecting along the banks of the chena river
I found these foot prints
they were barefooted and 17 or 18 long
and as I panned down the shorline the stride between the steps was 5 to 6 feet apartkeithie6
Dr. Jeff Meldrum commented on youtube the following:
How do you get 17 or 18 inches out of these? Compare to the boot prints. What is the length of the detector?

Are these Sasquatch footprints?

I have appeared in or contributed to the following TV programs, documentaries and films:
OLN's Mysterious Encounters: "Caddo Critter", Southern Fried Bigfoot, Travel Channel's Weird Travels: "Bigfoot", History Channel's MonsterQuest: "Swamp Stalker", The Wild Man of the Navidad, Destination America's Monsters and Mysteries in America: Texas Terror - Lake Worth Monster, Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot: Return to Boggy Creek and Beast of the Bayou.
Any follow-up on this? It happened last year.
Well, they resemble unshod human prints and are markedly deeper than the bootprints of the videographer. Then again the canine tracks, appearing to parallel the prints in question, also appear proportionally deeper, suggesting the consistency of the soil is/was softer closer to the water, when the mystery prints were made. But, 17″-18″ in length? Especially when compared to the (I’m assuming) average-sized human bootprints? I doubt it. Same goes for the purported 5′-6’stride-length.
While a Sasquatch MIGHT’VE made those prints while out walking his pet wolf, I’d say it’s equally possible a barefoot hoaxer with a heavy pack – or an accomplice riding “piggyback” – could’ve produced similar prints. Without additional physical evidence, I’m leaning toward a hoax perpetrated, either: by, or on, the videographer.
There’s no way those are 17 inch prints – probably about 10-12 inches, compared to the head of the metal detector. Also, the track spacing in the video is what you’d expect from some guy walking around – nothing out of the ordinary here.
I wear a size 13 EEE shoe. My bare footprints in that mud would larger than those depicted in that video. Real footprints – yes…Bigfoot track way – no.
What do I think? Human and not even a reasonably close resemblance to anything else. Why do people have to waste other’s time with stuff like this? Not as bad as Dyer, but still ridiculous.
Arewethereyeti,
