We’re EXCITED to have our KICK-OFF to the 2014 Boggy Creek Festival/Conference (which is scheduled for Oct. 25, 2014) being held this Sunday, Nov. 10, at the “Finding Bigfoot” Premier showing. WE ARE NEEDING PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO BECOME BIGFOOT RESEARCHERS!
Lyle Blackburn will be present this Sunday to give a presentation on the “Sounds of Sasquatch”. After this, we will be asking anyone who would like to sign up to take part in an 11 month project that we are calling the, “Listening for Bigfoot Research Project.” Participants will learn what the sounds of a Bigfoot actually are (presentation at Sun., Nov. 10 event, given by Lyle). Then they will be given a number which coincides with a map of the Fouke area which will be divided up into numbered quadrants. This will give us an overview of where everyone lives who is participating. Then throughout the year, participants will begin to start LISTENING for any sounds they may hear around where they live. Or if they go somewhere else and hear suspicious Sasquatch sounds, they will log in as to where they were, what time, what was the sound, etc. The more who participate in this, the better overview we’ll have in determining WHERE, or maybe where NOT, Bigfoot activity COULD possibly be. I think it’s possible that there ARE Bigfoot (and maybe even more than one) that live in and around Fouke, and possibly going all the way from Lake Wright Patman area down into Louisiana (and beyond toward FL). I’ve heard we are a part of a corridor of Sasquatch that extends from OK and goes down into LA) and this corridor is actually the 2nd highest area in the US for Sasquatch activity. (The Northwest US is the first). So let’s see if we can start verifying some Bigfoot activity around here. Let’s ALL become more “Sasquatch Aware”. Let’s train our ears for the small sounds as well as the larger whoops and howls that they are known for. Let’s start getting outside more, especially at night and learning to pay attention to our surroundings. I think things ARE happening all around us, but we aren’t PAYING ATTENTION! If you’re up for this task, we’ll be rounding up our researchers this Sunday. The results of this research will be disclosed during the 2014 Boggy Creek Conference. Research participants will probably meet a few times throughout the year to discuss their findings as a group. Hope you’ll join us!
We’re excited to find out that Craig Woolheater WILL be attending this event! I’m hoping that he and Lyle will help get our research project off and running to a good start! Thanks to both of you for planning on coming. We appreciate you!
Looking forward to the Chili Supper and Finding Bigfoot Premiere show tonight. First come, first serve on the Chili! We’ll have several pots of chili on hand, plus the makings for frito pie if you’d rather. DeAnna and I aren’t QUITE sure how many to expect tonight, but we’re going to have a good time no matter what! You all come on over to the community center at Fouke around 6-ish, or at 9 pm to watch the show that is featuring our great town of Fouke and the Boggy Creek Monster.
